Then the idiot who did the captions should be sacked! Almost like they have never seen a meeting before and don't know how its normally presented. -
British Final 2021

Congratulations to Adam Ellis. I enjoyed the meeting with some fast & furious racing. Eurosport need to improve their camera work and drop the stupid idea of showing the line up from the back! What a stupid idea. -

9 hours return trip plus traffic and 400 miles driving. I'll watch it on TV! -
Looking at the rain radar, there is a big lump of rain heading directly for Kings Lynn. Hope its not too heavy, or even better, changes direction! https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar

I think Eurosports coverage so far has been dire. Three perfectly good Premier League matches tonight, and no coverage! Fortunately Eurosport is part of my Sky package, I'd certainly be upset if I was paying extra for it.

Belle Vue -V- Wolves (Eurosport)
Bunce replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm rather glad that Eurosport is part of my Sky package, as I'd have been pretty miffed if I had paid extra for it and then only got a few meetings for my money. I was equally upset the SEC wasn't on Eurosport, only the Eurosport player which once again they wanted more money for! Thanks to a link from Racers & Royals I watched it on a website for free. I ditched BT Sport because they lost the coverage for league matches, and now only cover the GP's. The TV coverage seems to be getting worse, not better? -
Its tipping it down just south of Norwich, anybody got a weather report for the Ipswich area?

King's Lynn v Ipswich 05/07/21
Bunce replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I remember several years ago before the prison fence was erected a big crash on the second bend, where a bike hit the fence with such an impact it cleared the fence and landed several rows up on the terraces! The spectators parted like the biblical parting of the Red Sea, and fortunately nobody was hit by the bike. I think it might have involved Darren Mallet, but can't be sure? -
I agree. Years ago I paid for Sky Sport, then they ditched Speedway, so I ditched them. BT Sport took over and I did get BT Sport much cheaper because I have BT Internet and landline. Now they only cover the GP's AND tried to charge me full price for Sport, so I ditched them also. Fortunately I get Eurosport as part of my Sky package, but even they have hardly set the World on fire with their coverage, and they keep changing the matches that appear on the Sky planner.

Even Simon Lambert banged in 13 points tonight. Isn't he our "permanent" reserve!

Peterborough vs kings Lynn 7/6/21
Bunce replied to Gasser90's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm rather glad the meeting wasn't on Eurosport last night, it would have been embarrasing to watch as a Lynn supporter. -
I've just looked on the Kings Lynn web site where you would think all the latest news about tonights match and Lewis's injury would be, and what do I get....nothing! There is news from Lewis on his Twitter feed, but come on Lynn what's the point of a web site that's not up to date on race day? I learn more from this Forum to be honest.

Its all very strange. He hadn't ridden for several years, decides to make a "comeback" spends lots of money on new bikes, goes through all the pre-season build up and practice, has a couple of matches where he did score some points then wants "time out" I must admit I was very sceptical when his name was announced in the team, but he seemed enthusiastic enough, so give the lad a chance I thought? However that didn't last long and I doubt he will ever be back in the Stars colours again and I suspect other promoters would also be very wary of signing him now. Shame really as on his day he could be an exciting rider to watch.

I'm not sure Ty had a "confidence boosting Championship meeting" at Berwick tonight, where he scored a miserable 2 points for his Leicester team? Ty Proctor - 0, 0, 1, 0, 1 = 2
-
With the Stars making two changes to the team already, I wonder if Ty Proctor is looking over his shoulder? With scores of 3 and 2 in the first couple of home matches, he at least managed 6 points at Ipswich, although that was from seven rides and included three last places. I hope for his sake Ty can up his game quickly otherwise I have the feeling he will be the next rider for the axe.
