I advocate the SGP drinking game i play with my mates. Everyone chooses rider per race or gate for the meeting. 0 fingers if your rider wins, 2 fingers for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 4 for last. If your rider gets excluded then see off your can.

Bearing in mind I am only 22 and way too young for this! Wasn't the world finals highlights on bbc? I can't see Elite league racing ever getting big in Britain but I see a possible niche for the SGP. If say ITV were to buy the rights and show SGP's live on ITV2 or ITV4 im sure general interest in the sport would dramatically increase. Nearly all of my friends my age do not watch speedway but do enjoy it when they watch it. A lot of my friends like speedway but i would say non of the, know that there is a SGP series that takes place on a Saturday night as the marketing is all wrong in my opinion. If it were on ITV4 and some basic marketing in adverts on tele and the newspaper interest would increase. I always wonder what is the point of the only adverts for the Cardiff GP being shown during the Elite league coverage when the only people watching the Elite league will watch Cardiff anyway, surely it should be in football, cricket etc to bring in new viewers? Does anyone remember that Channel 4 used to have the rights for about an hours worth or highlights from the SGP's? Used to be shown at about 6 o clock in the morning on a saturday the following week though so no one would even have noticed.

I'm not complaining I had no issue, i am talking about the old lady that was there and thelentgth of time it took the police to get to fight. She could have been hit or anything in that time. Its a bit different for somebody like that unless you have the brain the size of a peanut and cannot see that.

There was a fight near where I was stood. 3rd bend very top row after heat 12. Big group of about 15 poles about 3 rows infront of the back row. On the back row was about 8 english guys. I think the english blokes were laughing at a pole that came last, one of the poles threw a beer at them, one of the british blokes threw one back and the poles ran up the seats and a fight broke out. The thing that concerned me was that next to the english blokes was an elederly couple and they were right in the mix of it. The stewards didnt arrive until at least after a minute and a half. It was down to another fan who was sat in between them to try and break it up. The stewards were a total disgrace and someone would have seen this going on if they did there job properly. Like i said it went on for about a miunute before any police turned up. It was ok in the end but what if the elderly women had been struck, as i do not exagreate when she was about 1 seat away from the fight. All of the poles were p!ssed out of there head and the british blokes retaliated. If it was another sporting event there was no way the poles would have been allowed into the stadium, let alone carry on being in it with more beer on the other side of the stadium. the stewards are to blame for letting them in in that state, total disgrace.

So next question is where is the cheapest place to buy tickets from on the day?

Never stayed over myself. I go and have a few drinks and get last train back at about 11, usually had enough by then if have been on it all day. Ask Matt Ford, I'm sure he staying somewhere luxurious on behalf of the public that pay there money to watch Poole speedway.

Not massively fussed to be honest as I usually miss it whilst in the queue for a programme. As the stadium is only just over half full, I can never understand why the queues are so ridiculously long for a programme. Surely by know they would know that more than a couple programme outlet points are required. Think the long queue is an even bigger slap in the face to the public after the joke of the programme price.

Have only ever bought tickets on on the web, can you buy from the stadium on the day?

My GP line up for next year would be Top 8: Jason Crump Tomasz Gollob Emil Sajfutdinov Greg Hancock Andreas Jonsson Nicki Pedersen Rune Holta Kenneth Bjerre Qualifiers: Magnus Zetterstrom Chris Holder Jaroslaw Hampel Wild Cards: Hans Andersen Freddie Lindgren Lee Richardson Matej Zagar Hans is bound to get one. I would love to have seen Lindback back in but as Zetterstrom qualified think that has ruined his chances as dont think they will run with 4 Swedes and think is pretty obvious after his form this year that Freddie deserves the nod. Theres bound to be at least 1 Brit and my pick would be Richardson, has proved his worth this season across europe, dont see how Harris warrants a spot after 3 years outside the top 8. Also dont see how Tai qualifies after 1 season in the elite league and 1 impressive world cup performance. He didnt really set the world alight in it this year and I believe its time Rico had another shot. Think Zagar is the other choice for me. They might run with Miedzinski so another Pole is in but Zagar is a superior rider who again deserves another chance. If Holta drops out as rumoured would then put Miedzinski in as the other pole.
