Adam Roynon Dropped By Sheffield
mythman666 replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I wasnt sure if Proctor could come in for Poole....Proctor has the potential to push Stead for the number one jacket if he can get back to full fitness -
What Pl Team Is Most Disliked?

Paulco is dead right...we have the local spats which can descend into chaos. ...Edinburgh and Glasgow, Newcastle and Redcar and Berwick and er....Berwick! -

I see your point...but there is a possibility that Pooles scores are also being monitored too. Could they have fitted Proctor in place of Poole instead? -

Roynon always seems to get fixed up when he is without a club. As for signing Proctor in his place it potentially makes the Tigers a much stronger side as an on form Ty Proctor will be a better rider. Also proves that the new Promotion of Sheffield will not be tolerating poor scores....harsh maybe but true! -
Berwick Vs Workington Sat 19 April
mythman666 replied to YAMYAMBANDIT's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Howarth usually rides Berwick very well and could get a few points tonight. I am bringing along a few guys from work to hospitality tonight so I am pleased the weather is playing ball! -

Why must every Berwick thread descend into trolling by the same old idiots every time.... -

Always enjoy the Tigers visiting Shielfield....probably the best travelling fans...always fun and always noisy no matter what the result is -
My first visit to Leicester and have to say I enjoyed it. The racing wasn't fantastic but the crowd was great and a lot of money will have been raised for a great cause. Had to park maybe a ten minute walk from the stadium but it probably saved us being held up on our way out. Also have to say I really enjoyed the chat I had with the gentleman next to me...a nicer guy you couldn't meet and an absolute credit to Leicester Speedway. Great guy!

Fricke is the key man for the Monarchs this coming season. ...so this win bodes well for them!

Biggest Disapointment....

Maybe its just me...but is it only in recent years thay Australian riders have had major issues with visas etc? Seems to be every year more and more have problems -

Fair enough point....I can't argue with that...just a genuine question regarding everyone downing the guy before a wheel has turned -

Why does everyone seem to think Benko will be a huge disappointment? The guy must have something about him to at least get signed up in the first place. -
Biggest Improver 2014
mythman666 replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As much as I dislike the off season I absolutely love the enthusiasm of the fans about their riders chances for the upcoming season. Its quite infectious! -
Solid looking Tigers side...I look forward to my visits to Ashfield as always and hope the Tigers have a successful season!

Kasper Lykke?

Nicki Barrett showed a liking to Ashfield on more than one occasion...think a change of track may be what he needs. Showed flashes of potential in his Berwick stint but I think niggling injuries halted his progress as he struggled to get over his pre season skiing accident.
-
Only answering the mans question, the case remains closed. Apologies for any offence this may have caused anyone.... Plus me and Shadders were agreeing on stuff.....it's a momentous occasion! Don't spoil it!
-
Pretty much!

You may well have struck the nail on the head there. ..he was low on confidence at the time and perhaps Berwick wasn't the answer for him but there were odd times he would show flashes of brilliance showing that he is a class rider at PL level. His EL form early last season was as good as anyone. .His loss of form was a little perplexing If he comes and wins a few races...good on him...I for one will applaud him. And I would hope everyone else will too
-
To be fair...I would like to think that Edward Kennett will get a good welcome back to Berwick. In my opinion away from home he was different class. He hasn't ever been a big track rider and probably never will be. But I dont think there should be any animosity towards him....if there is I will be disappointed.

And people are only moaning about our centre green presenter because the team is complete and there is nothing left to moan about it would seem!
-
The signing of Gjedde for whatever reason didn't work out.....end of story, case closed. We are now heading into 2014, and still people want to talk about Charlie Gjedde, get a grip, it's old news.

Dick Barrie may have his critics. ...but love him or hate him his knowledge of our sport is vast. I have been lucky enough to have numerous conversations with him and I have found him and his point of view very interesting. And when you go to other tracks and hear some of the drivel from the centre green you realise just how good he really is!

Tend to agree with you....the thing is it will benefit Berwick too as well ad the riders themselves
