Where have the Theo Pijper rumours come from?

Darcy Ward did fail a test recently though.....so technically a failure

Berwick V Rye House (pl) - Now 23/8
mythman666 replied to Mimmo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I seem to recall a double header involving Hull and someone else a few years back...im sure we won the first meeting but lost the 2nd. Looking forward to this one....hopefully 6 points on the board. What is the order of the meetings? -
Wethers has generally been ultra dependable in his time with us....his scores have dipped a little since his crash and a heavy knock against Edinburgh wont have helped. Who realistically would replace him?
-
Are a few people heading to the black and gold tonight?
-
Berwick probably deserved a point but to be honest I felt like we were chasing the meeting from the start and never looked like winning. The Kerr Robson pairing is very strong and will take a bit of beating! Berwick will take positives from the score of Kus, but he cant do it all on his own...too many last places but I think it was just one of those nights

Plymouth V Berwick (pl) 30th May

Thats a compelling argument. ...and I tend to agree....but if for instance Kus has been scoring 5 or 6 in the main body of the team...I would fancy him to hit 10 or 12 from reserve. ... Steen has been getting 11 or 13 from reserve. ...I would fancy that in the main body of the side he is well capable of scoring 7 or 8. Still keeps us strong IMO -

Im not much of a number cruncher...so I'm not sure either. ...certainly looks as though Kus drops to reserve from what you have said though...either way I would say it keeps us fairly strong -

Does Jensen stay at reserve for this coming month? Reason I ask is that I thought the 23rd of the month was the calculation cut off for averages? -

Been a great signing for the Bandits, goes about his business quietly but really can mix it with the best at times....also he is the man who often comes up with the goods when the pressure is on! -

Steen really has been a great signing, but it really is a team effort, and all the boys seem to get along, it's absolutely great to see! -

Would be ecstatic with a point from this one...Plymouth are a strong side at home -
Redcar V Berwick 29 May - Off

If theres a genuine reason for the call off then thats fair enough...I think its frustrating for the Bandits as we cannot seem to keep our momentum going due to call offs etc -

Wells relies heavily on his gating ability. ...he doesn't have the same fight about him that other riders do, he is a rider I have never really understood the hype about. Howarth on the other hand is a real trier, you could tell on Friday that he was busting a gut and it just wasn't his night...he was unlucky IMO. -

A terrific performance from the bandits tonight....awesome stuff! I must also mention the class of a few Workington fans who took the time to shake our hands at the end of the meeting and congratulate us on our win....proper speedway fans! -

Finally a bit of decent discussion! Have to agree that ability or talent of Matej Kus has never been in doubt....and if he has finally found some consistency in his scoring then maybe he can realise his potential and kick on from here. Jensen is hitting form after being a bit of a slow burner early on, there is still more to come from Bellego and Doolan...Vissing and Wethers have been fairly solid so far....perhaps this team is a little underrated! -
Berwick V Ipswich (may 17)
mythman666 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I felt Ipswich could feel aggrieved not to have taken something from the meeting. Their efforts deserved a point I would say...however that is just the way it goes at times....hopefully Heeps and Manzarez make speedy recoveries. For Berwick Vissing was outstanding once again, jensen battled with all he had while Doolan and Bellego had their moments. A quieter night for Wethers but he did the business when it mattered most as he has done on many occasions. It was the performance of Kus that made the difference though...he showed a lot more aggression in his racing and secured us all three points on the night woth his vital third place in heat 15. -

Wouldnt even waste your time...the guy is the resident Berwick Troll...we could sign Ward, Gollob and the Laguta brothers and he still would moan. -
My apologies I didn't realise that.

Supposing Lambert had decided to ride EL and PL at the start of the season would his starting average have been 3.00 in both leagues?!
-
Really thought Rosen would kick on this season and become a real force in The PL,looked to have all the credentials when I saw him last season. Not sure why it hasn't worked out for him. Have to feel for Henry, has often been Newcastles best visitor to Berwick and looked superb against Peterborough the other night....cant see him being without a team for long.

Berwick V Sheffield Koc 2nd Leg 5/05/2014 @7pm
mythman666 replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be fair to Doolan had he not had a chain come off in his 3rd ride he probably would have had 6 paid 7...which considering his average would have been ok. Its all too easy to call for changes. If all the riders score their average all it takes is for one of them to have an exceptional night and we wont be far off in most meetings
