  1. Doolan started last season slowly. His form picked up in the second half of last season and has continued in the same vein this year with some vintage displays.
  2. Well done to the Bandits. Great way to bounce back. Well done lads
  3. Wasn't Nicki Barrett a former 80cc world champion? That's the closest I can think of. Obviously that wasn't current at the time.
  4. Stuart Swales made a comeback as Kevin Webster a few years back. ..anything is possible
  5. Fair play to you sir! That is a trek and a half. Hope you enjoy your night
  6. I've always liked Hansen and have been surprised that his scores have been as low, although in his defense he has had his problems outside of speedway this season. He is probably now the best reserve in the league now though .
  7. Out of interest what does the new lad come in on? Is it a 5?
  8. I'm not sure what my expectations are of Garcia...but if he is on pace and can pick up 4 points a meeting then it's job done. Fair play to the promotion for giving the lad a chance and I hope we can keep our decent form going.
  9. Very fair point you make there. Must admit Tresserieu is a rider I would have loved to have seen ride at Berwick every week Another rider I imagine will have been approached is Linus Eklof. Don't believe he has ridden over here for some time. Nikolai Klindt as well although I believe he is injured just now.
  10. Thank you! There have been some frankly ridiculous suggestions made on this thread and others. My assumption is that the likes of Sheffield and Peterborough would have already made approaches to these riders to replace Simon Stead and Olly Allen. Would Pepe and Tresserieu not be involved heavily with Longtrack?
  11. Magnus Karlsson? Kauko Niememen? Joszef Tabaka? Although I dare say there is every chance that these guys have probably rejected offers to return to these shores already.
  12. If it has been a Ryanair flight he was on it wouldn't have been that surprising
  13. Not from me he wouldn't, there again I don't condone the abuse that Gjedde took either
  14. Difference between Barker and Gjedde is that at least Ben is trying. ...there is absolutely no lack of effort on his part
  15. I think Barker is finding the form. He just needs to add consistency to it. There's absolutely no doubting his ability or commitment.
  16. Absolutely. After a poor league cup campaign we have bounced back well and beginning to pick up a bit of momentum. Be nice to keep that up and silence the doubters
  17. Tend to agree Scott....all fine and well if new assets hit the ground running and hit their averages but as we know that's unlikely
  18. Would imagine kenni larsen will be on a very very high average
  19. Highly unlikely Vaculik is going to come and ride premier league in my opinion. So with the likelihood that we are going to need a couple of replacements who do we think we can sign? Realistically speaking? Alden, Pepe France, Matt Tresserieu, Magnus Karlsson, Kauko Niememen are currently not riding in the UK.
  20. Well done to the mighty Bandits. Lady luck was on our side tonight
  21. I quite like the style of parade they have at Edinburgh where the riders come out in pairs and do a lap of the track.
  22. Would love it if the bandits could pull this off but Ipswich are a strong side especially at home
  23. What a genuinely well constructed post. A very fair point you make
  24. Thanks for that..an interesting analysis which I agree with but I do feel Newcastle are a good enough side to keep it tight
