  1. If you're one of the better "educated" fans that you claim to be, then surely you'd know that there is absolutely NOTHING to be gained by anyone publicly slagging the club or it's riders, especially via the clubs official channels, be that on the website or in the programme. Change the record, your patter is boring
  2. You're welcome to have a go on commentary yourself if you wish?
  3. Thank you very much. Yeah something like that! It's been an incredible amount of fun to be a part of this project and the guys involved have put in hours and hours to get to this point.
  4. I know this is a long shot but would anyone out there have the following programme that they would be willing to part with? Long Eaton vs. Berwick 17/06/87 KOC Any help would be much appreciated!
  5. I'm wondering if anyone can help me, I am looking for rider averages from Berwick's seasons in 1994 and 1995 when they were part of the League division 3 and Academy League. If anyone has this information to hand and can post here, I would be most grateful. Cheers in advance.
  6. When Sarjeant first burst on the scene he seemed destined for greatness. In recent seasons he has gone backwards. I feel sorry for the Workington supporters having to put up with him as clearly rider and club aren't a good fit. But it begs the question if he didn't want to be there, why sign up?
  7. If only Ipswich were as forward thinking as Berwick and had track covers allowing that meeting to go ahead and all this nonsense would be resolved!
  8. I must confess, I underestimated the strength of the Newcastle side....they are a well balanced side and could well be in the mix at the end of the season. The meeting itself was fantastic with some breathtaking racing. Two evenly matched sides with a draw probably the fairest result.
  9. Thank you, taking my nephew to his first ever away meeting so looking forward to this!
  10. On the subject of the Ben Fund, can anyone tell me the admission prices for kids? I'm guessing it's £20 for Adults.
  11. Cheers BigEd! Pleased to be a part of the new site and to be doubling up this season!
  12. Is Jonas B Andersen fixed up yet? He was mighty impressive on his visit in 2016... looks to be a rider going places
  13. I think Gappmaier would do a decent job if given the chance to return. He has a decent standard of equipment and has something about him. Should he be one of our final two signings I wouldn't be disappointed at all.
  14. Really chuffed that the Comets are to continue on in 2017!
  15. https://youtu.be/kU4tDnWQFdQ To those it may interest. My thoughts on our season and other things.
  16. The major plus point for me last night was that Danny Ayres was able to walk away relatively unscathed after a frightening accident last night. When I seen it happen I feared the worst. Matty Wethers had nowhere to go and did his level best to avoid him.
  17. To answer the question regarding the speed gun it was indeed the late Paul Fry who was clocked at 75mph at Berwick going into the corner, at a time when he was in the latter years of his career. Pretty remarkable considering he had previously broken his leg in a crash there as well as flying over the fence in the previously mentioned accident with Scott Smith. Reason I remember that is he landed right at my feet in what was a frightening accident. When he got up all he was worried about was how Scud was.
  18. When you see Barker riding tonight it is utterly baffling why they replaced Lewis Kerr with him. That being said he was never short on effort tonight to be fair but some of his team mates need a word with themselves
  19. Berwick have been pretty lucky over the years with riders who have been popular with the fans and that have been willing to take a bit of time to see the little ones after meetings. Special mention to Thomas Jorgensen and his Girlfriend Kate who went above and beyond for my little nephew last night. Top class.
  20. Tough meeting for the Bandits this one....but one I would label as a must win in order to keep our recent upturn in form going
  21. Supposing we resign Mellgren what would that leave us for a replacement for Seb? Assuming we go down that route
  22. The strange thing is that of you look at results over the years....our worst away performances have generally been at Armadale and Rye House. Yet we manage a win and a draw there in a season where for one reason or another we can't seem to get all the guys firing on the same night at home.
