  1. Yes But I guess people who think Last of the Summer Wine is the funniest sitcom ever would say no.
  2. Can we please have Kildemand in the gps over Nikki P? He's far more entertaining.
  3. Arthur Browning scored a paid max on his Brum debut in the snow.
  4. Well there's the problem with speedway these days. So imagine you've taken a newbie along today, how do you explain that away? I agree, nobody wants it, but it happens and it's hurting the sport, as is doubling and tripling up. At NL level there should be kids to at least fill the RR places and that should be the rule, if it is indeed a development league Guests have been a bugbear since even before I became a fan in 1970 (I have a ton of 1960s Speedway mags so I know) and I'm afraid that problem will never be solved, unfortunately.
  5. 5 guests and RR, if people are happy with that then fair enough. Good job some are really.
  6. Been away all week so watched the final tonight. As far as Team GB's effort is concerned, it reflected the standing of speedway in this country, TBH.
  7. Wow, what an incredible speedway meeting. That heat 15 ride from Lindback will live long in the memory.
  8. The big fella was 7th in yesterday's Pre TT Classic http://www.bikesportnews.com/uploads/docs/2017_Pre-TT.pdf
  9. Mmmmm, makes you wonder what some of the guys are adjusting............
  10. Nope, but I think he should be knighted.
  11. Back to the title of this thread, the kevlar's what?
  12. A big red "B" on a bright yellow background, does exactly what it says on the tin race jacket.
  13. Can't believe the prices sellers are asking for the Tragedy book on Ebay now. £100+, £300+ Blimey.
  14. In general yes, in British speedway, not necessarily. Open to interpretation, not set in stone.
  15. If the Monster sponsored (well any energy drink really) riders drank as much of the product as it looked then they'd be like a 5 year old on a diet of Ribena and blue smarties! I dread to think what that would do to a 46 year old geez.
  16. Watched this meeting earlier today and I have to agree with people who say it was the best meeting of the season. Firstly, what a track, even given the weather it rode fantastically. Secondly, what a bunch of racers that field was, some of the racing was utterly bonkers. Thirdly, add firstly to secondly, what's not to like?
  17. Footballers swear at officials Rugby players swear Bike racers swear People swear Even speedway riders swear Move on peeps.
  18. Thereare more important things in life to worry about. I bet if you play his last interview backwards it says "worship Satan" or something. Personally, I'm more concerned about his ears.
  19. Well if they're just signing good looking lads with decent voices then they deserve all they get really.
  20. When I was a lad you used to get the touring sides coming over, Olching from Germany and the Swedes used to tour too, You'd get Young Poles v Young England tests, all sorts of stuff, all very interesting and a break away from league racing. World championship qualifiers used to start at Division 2 tracks with all the riders vying to reach the next stage. The British Final was a proper prestige event, there were big money, big name televised individual events, the list goes on. All this has been lost now and what we have left have left is so watered down that the interest has largely disappeared for many many fans.
  21. Tommy 2 Jerry Nil, hallelujah......... Etc etc
