Perhaps (and it's a big "perhaps") after British Eurosport's excellent coverage of this year's SGP series, more non speedway fans will know who Tai is and take notice. What stand is he on BTW?

Sorry to wee on your chips, but MM hasn't won it yet, there's still a round to go at Valencia next week. Anything can happen as proved by Rossi/Hayden in 2006. Go Jorge #99

Be great if all the members of the BSPA took a trip to a Tattoo and Piercing parlour before the AGM. Down with the kids and all that!

Male, Caucasian, tubby, late 50s, scrap metal collector, high fat, lower, unintelligible, dirty white vest, lots-all misspelt, White Transit van, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, etc. You're right, it's easy innit?

Rossi has a large surgical steel earring and has done for many years. He also does have at least one tattoo. Not that this matters, he's loved for who he is, one of the biggest characters any sport has ever seen, not just bike racing. He was also a "bit of a lad" in his early teens an even in his early career he got into one or two scrapes, but nobody holds this against him because of who he is now. A read of his autobiography will fill in some of the gaps. I would say that if he was to cover himself in tattoos tomorrow, it wouldn't diminish his popularity one iota. Well as long as they weren't "Max Biaggi" ones! Oh yeah and Penhall looked like a girl.

Probably worth more than all Tai's bikes put together too.

Clean looking, immaculate and very, very boring. Whoa hang on, Lewis has 2 earrings!!! I take it back.

Top flight F1 drivers?? Yawn..................................... Speedway is an extreme sport marketed as, erm, well it's not really marketed is it? It needs to push that image of danger as really it's one of the few topline motorsports that hasn't become sterile over the years. Air fences excepted, it's still as risky as it was many moons ago. Unless we want to stick to the family sport "I say that's not on" way of doing things. A lot og youngsters like tatts and piercings, take a look around. We need young blood attracted to speedway, like it or not.

The BBC actually cover Moto GP and it still only warrants a fleeting mention on SPOTY, so really Tai has virtually zilch chance of any more than that. Still, one can live in hope.

Cal Crutchlow hasn't won a world title since 2009 (?) when he was World Supersport champion and Tom Sykes is leading World Superbikes with one round to go, so not the champion yet, that may explain why they're not in the betting. Is Sam Lowes in there? If not he should be.

Really enjoyed the GPs this year and thought that Eurosport did a great job. Look forward to next year's coverage. One thing I like about then is that they publicised speedway during their BSB and WSB coverage, which hopefully helped increase their viewing figures. I've spent the season trying to convert various Bike race fans to our sport and some have stuck with it (when they remembered to watch!! Series record FTW guys!). One thing though, in many (if not most) cases, if you're "turned on" to speedway after watching a GP, a visit to your local track may prove a bit of culture shock! I suppose like watching Moto GP then visiting a low level club meeting.

Talking of World Champions, we could have 4 on 2 wheels this year, so have you heard of any of the others? Before today's racing Tom Sykes-leading World Superbike Championship Sam Lowes-leading World Supersport Championship Scott Redding-leading MotoGP Moto 2 World Championship Don't know any of today's results so don't spoil it people!!

Wouldn't rule out Hampel being in the mix either.

Big congrats to young Mr Woffinden, what a boy!! A great example of how taking the correct, professional approach to a sport and adding it to massive natural talent brings rewards. Fantastic.

Just watched the GP, a day late as usual, but what a fantastic meeting-again. This really has been by and large a vintage year for GPs. One thing though, had it on series record on Virgin and the recording stopped on lap 3 of the final! D'oh. -
Hugely impressed with Tai this year. He's obviously got the right people around him and is totally focussed. His race craft has come on a ton too. TBH I'd love to see him win it this year, but if he's beaten by Emil then I wouldn't be too disappointed. He has time on his side, in fact they both do. They could both dominate GPs for years to come.
