  1. I thought Berge done well, particularly considering his injury, would be quite happy if he ends up down the roat at Berwick next year.
  2. What about... Vissing Doolan Steve Worral Rusty Harrison Theo Pjiper Robin Aspegren Alex Edberg I personally feel that this team would challenge for the league title and really get Shielfield Park packed to the rafters. The reserve partners are good friends and I feel for them being able to play crazy golf on a saturday afternoon before working the high line in the evening is perfect. Doolan has loads of improvement in him, Steve Worral should improve on a quiet season, reckon he'd hit 9 easy? Harrison is still fairly young and with a bit more experience under his belt and riding for the right promotion I think he could improve out of all recognition. Pjiper is a true pro and very popular with the promotion and is always happy to pose for photos with the fans, like a young Danny Bird. Vissing is just Vissing, gives his all for the club and as a loyal fan I really appreciate that. If this 7 were to be signed, I'd buy my season ticket immediately and also buy a brick. Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaa!!
  3. Berwick could probably put out a team for all 3 leagues in this category, one of the few things they are very good at is putting out awful teams.
  4. Hopefully Somerset manage to do it tonight, best of luck to them, hopefully Mr Ego's ego is deflated somewhat this evening.
  5. 1.Kus 7.52 2.Doolan 6.91 3. Pijper 7.09 4. New 7pt man or Skidmore 6.99 5. Vissing 7.09 6. Edberg 3.84 7. Sargeant or another 3 pointer Total, with a new 7pt man = 42.45, with Skidmore 42.44. Think we will see something along these lines one way or another.
  6. Good for Berwick, he has put Poland and the u21's first all season and tbh again has not improved, quite happy for him not to return.
  7. No he doesnt. Proper speedway is raced on big tracks, like all the ones on the continent, not on dross like Armadale or Brough Park, so I'd say if he wants to progress then he doesnt need to move to a smaller track. He may not even bother with Britain next year.
  8. 1.Barker 2.Howarth 3.Kus 4.Krcmar 5.Vissing 6.Jensen 7. Sargeant
  9. If they sign Barker there going to have to shovel loads of muck on every week because thats the only time he likes Berwick.
  10. Think I should start supporting Newcastle. You can come on here and be brutally honest about your team and your views without having the forum police slag you off, think thats brilliant.
  11. What about a team full of the promotions best pals and the blokes who are best in the pub afterwards, and attending the various hogroasts. 1. Alden 2. Franc 3. Doolan 4. Jensen 5. Aspegren 6. Mudgway 7. Edberg
  12. Fair one, strength in depth seems likely then.
  13. Awful in my opinion. Neither Edberg or Barret would leave the reserve spot and the top 5 is weak.
  14. lol good one. Would actually be really amusing to see Cook turn out for Gorzow, his ego would be brought down to earth massively!
  15. Its nice Mr Ego can be there today, I thought he may have been leading Gorzow to play off glory and enhancing his already sky high rating within the sport.
  16. Not entirely sure on averages as I cant be bothered to work them out, but what about something like.... 1.Richard Lawson 2. Matej Kus 3.Claus Vissing 4. Edward Krcmar 5.Sam Masters 6.Hugh Skidmore/Nico Covatti 7.Alex Edberg/Anders Thompsen No doubt most people will want Doolan and maybe even Pepe Franc back because there good blokes and a right laugh in the pub, but I feel the team I have suggested would do very well if it fits.
  17. Well, as this season is now over, I think this has been started at a good time for the mighties fans to discuss before tapes up in March. I predict an easy 100 pages over this thread before we get to that stage, let the arguments begin.... For me: Vissing- had an overall very good season, started like a house on fire at no5, but been found out at no1, particularly away from home, but that's not his fault as he is simply not a no 1. I would retain next year so long as he is not at no1 and he has a no1 to take the pressure away from him. Retain. Bellego- not for the first season I really epected Bellego to kick on this year, but again, not for the first season he really hasn't kicked on. Inconsistency is a major down fall and I feel a year away from Berwick would maybe help. It was no coinscedence when his form for Ostrow was at its best mid season, his form for Berwick was not, so I would suggest Poland is a bigger priority for him. Get rid. Doolan- done what Doolan does, started slowly, albeit in the no 1 position, but has slowly found some form, particularly of late and particularly at home. Been a passenger to often for my liking on the road and in the big matches away, but then again the entire team are guilty of that. I have a feeling he will be retained because hes one of the boys and has finished well, and that will cloud the promotions judgement. In my opinion I would not retain as he certainly wouldn't improve any and that's what you need. Get rid. Jensen- I think we can now safely say those who predicted a 9pt ave for Steen at the start of the year were wrong. He has been good value at times but also been woeful at times. Having watched him at places like Redcar I think its safe to say Berwick is not his track. I would not retain him next year as I don't see any improvement on his current average and he has to many duff meetings at home. Get rid. Kus- had a good season visually, although his ave has dropped I believe? He is a no 2 or 4, or an outstanding reserve. If he could be fitted into any of those roles next year then I would retain, if not, get rid. All in all I would like to see Matej back and I think its a certainty he will be as hes on a 2 year deal. Retain. Weathers- been garbage most of the season, particularly on the road. I think he will retire anyways but if not, I hope he does not return. Get rid. Edberg- not seen much of him since he came back, but he seems slightly more consistent than the first time around. From what I hear as well his Dad is keen to be of service so I think its almost certain he will be back next year, and as long as he is not the main reserve that will be fine as he is capable of chipping in, and if getting confidence sky high I think theres is improvement on his ave. Retain.
  18. I would love to know what is said at the mid meeting team talk because yet again an utter collapse from Berwick. Still, they made the play offs, I'm sure they'll raise a beer or two to that in the Black and Gold this evening.
  19. Even by the standards of this forum, that has to be one of the most outrageous and unrealistic suggestions I have ever seen. Absolutely not a chance in hell.
  20. How can he be recalled? This match has been planned all season? I thought he could only be recalled against a rearranged match? We have no chance without Kus.
  21. Best wishes to Matty on a swift recovery and also to Fox. Not the greatest of meetings but anybody with a brain is aware its the shape of the track not the preparation that is to blame. Thought Berwick presenter themselves very well. Really a big fan of Steen Jensen and after seeing him at redcar on Thur I was really baffled by his performance tonight, really dont feel Berwick is his track. Another 3 points on the board though.
  22. Good to see Sedgeman having a moan about the Berwick track as well as Cook now. Hopefully its nice and slick and our boys are gating well, hopefully him and the ego hate it.
