This is the worst PL team since Mildenhall in 2008 in my opinion. Will there be a reduction in the admission price for the Newcastle fans that reflects what a poor team they have? I understand they clearly have to cut their cloth but when you look at that side I cant help but wonder why they are bothering and why they didnt just drop into the conference for a season and try and bring on some talent before stepping up again when able.

To be honest I think the fans are just as much to blame as the promotion because they are the ones that condone this lack of ambition by paying to watch it week in week out and thats what pays for the shambles that is put before them. People are moaning but will still be there come March/April to watch the assault on bottom of the table commence.

Why dont they try and get Jade the blade Mudgeway and Dawid Stachyra back as well? Both absolutely rubbish but no doubt great blokes. In Stachyras case he cant even speak English but the Berwick fans arent concerned about that, if youre in the team regardless of ability youre a great bloke seemingly, judged by the Facebook response to Doolans re-signing. Realistically the only person I see left now who could be a number 1 is Bellego but I know there is potentially some issue with him not being allowed to ride Championship. Other than that they are going to have to have a strength in depth approach but also try and get those guys who can improve. The 2 guys who are in any Berwick team Doolan and Howe, can anyone honestly sit there and say they will improve their starting average? Not sure on average but I would take Ryan Douglas over those 2. Its going to be interesting, at least we got Mr Barrie to post a rosie picture for us no matter what happens ayy

In theory you are correct. I think now though given the professionalism of the sport in this country, which half decent foreigner would come here and be committed to it? Or would they just come and go through the motions on sub standard bikes? IE Berge? Sadly, I think Berwick will be picking from the whats left pile and be in for another season of struggle. I'm sure Crescent Girl will be on to tell the fans they should just be pleased with that though.

Doolan will be worse again next season, but as you say, he's a good bloke and he isnt going to cause any problems so he's a shoe in. We both know Kev Doolan will be in the Berwick 1-7 until the day he gives up speedway. I agree with you I wouldnt sign him, but hes nailed on.

Realistically who wants to watch teams full of guests and R/R every week anyways. Add to that having to see mongs like Sargeant go through the tapes everytime he comes to them just makes British speedway even more of a laughing stock. Be better if they streamed every Polish meeting weekly, at least its taken seriously over there.

So if the rumours are to be believed Berwick will have at least 4 of the team from this season just gone back next year. Quite baffling as to why to be honest when they finished rock bottom of the league. Doolan has been on the decline for the last 3 or 4 seasons but obviously a good bloke and up for a laugh in the bar so he's a shoe in. Howe scored ok but in a rubbish team so was he just the second best of a bad bunch behind Morris? Etheridge had a good year but will he really improve on his average if he's in the main body of the team. What can you say about Gappmaier, fancies it when he gates from reserve (at home) and then horrific away. Morris replaced with Summers? Like swapping Aguero for Kenny Miller. Still, as long as they have a good fence and a laugh and a joke who really cares about being competitive eh

I really hope Lublin are rained off on Sunday so Lambert cant ride and he also incurs a 28 day ban. Granted, you cant blame him for preferring to be in Poland for a match that means something and in front of a huge crowd but its a bit of a joke again fans paying to get into Brough to not see him and some no hoper or R/R in his place. Fair play to Chapman for screwing these two over, long overdue in my opinion. Both of them seem to think Speedway in this country owes them one. Yes, speedway in GB is a shambles I am not doubting that, but both have been very vocal in slagging it off plenty yet come out crying when they cant ride here for the rest of the season. Holder has been frankly garbage this season, his massive ego maybe just caught up with him. If Hancock hadn't got injured his younger brother could have potentially taken his place in the Torun side. I mean how ego denting must it have been to have been dropped for Tungate in Sweden two weeks ago . Hopefully we don't have to see these two back in Speedway in this country and if that affects their visas then more the better.

At least its one less opportunity for them to be useless at something. If theres any track covers needed Berwick can help with that.
