  1. Cookie is riding. I would say we are stronger in 2 areas No.4 and No.7, and weaker at No.2. Think we can still do very well tonight and at least grab the bonus point over 2 legs. Lineup for tonight; 1. Cook 2. Pjiper 3. Vuolas 4. Jenkins 5. Batchelor 6. McGurk 7. Starke
  2. Not sure, the meeting preview posted today on the BSPL site shows Vissing as riding, so probably isn't accurate either. Glasgow match now postponed I see, so maybe a suitable guest from that meeting is now available if he isn't riding.
  3. Yeah has already happened today I believe, so he maybe missing too!
  4. His partner is in hospital, has gone into labour expecting their 2nd child
  5. No Claus Vissing tomorrow at Redcar and no facility, what’s happened there. Another winable meeting is made that bit harder. Ace Pjiper replaces him, and Jordan Jenkins for Tate
  6. Yeah Ace definately worth a go again next season on his average, hopefully him and Slater Lightcap if he gets his qualifying visa.
  7. We've averaged exactly 2 points per meeting from reserve all season, and often it's just the 1 from Heat 2 we get. Starke riding at reserve has to be an improvement on that, considering he was riding at No.2 for Glasgow. Can take 5 rides every meeting replacing McGurk so even 5 points per meeting would be a massive improvement
  8. Jordan Jenkins guesting for Tate that is!
  9. Rowe would be a great fit for either club. I believe it's just guests for Worky, Jordan Jenkins is guesting away at Redcar on Friday so don't think there is going to be a replacement i'm afraid.
  10. Anders Rowe's converted CL ave is 7.49, which is higher than Tate, so unless there is a 2.5% British deduction? probably won't fit. Erik Riss was the prime target and had talks, but it didn't work out with European commitments, James Denham writes about this in the Poole programme.
  11. Not sure if Manzares is on the radar but he’d significantly strengthen the Comets at reserve (4pt average) Scored 8 points in the Ben Fund meeting at Northside and looked good
  12. Would be amazed if they don’t win the treble this year. They just have a different class of rider. Saw Ben Cook’s race wins in the PL Ekstraliga today against Wroclaw and he was flying
  13. I think before the season I would of preferred evening meetings but not now. The amount of families/kids and younger people attending is noticeably higher than any other track I’ve ever attended. 100% believe this is due to afternoon racing and the crowd levels would not be the same in the evening. Must have been at least 3x as many people there yesterday than what was at our recent away meetings at Scunthorpe and Edinburgh. I remember commenting at Edinburgh there weren’t any kids in sight! I will take that over a bit of extra dust, which I think Steve does well to control.
  14. Poole are different class to anyone else in the league, give them the trophy now. Comets may still make the play-offs with Glasgow’s defeat last night, but whoever finishes 4th will be whipping boys alongside Scunthorpe. What a find Vinnie Ford is for a mid season replacement, his opposite number at No.7 is where we are massively lacking. Even NL guests until the end of the would be an improvement! Also better riders albeit under 16 on show in the youth Championship.
  15. Poor guest today, we can’t replace Tate’s points at home I’m afraid
  16. Funny thing is there was a better Aussie double act reserve pairing pushing Cookies bikes out of the pits tonight
  17. Hosepipe ban in Lincolnshire? What a dreadful watch that was, roll on tomorrow at the GT tyres arena
  18. Celina is riding tomorrow, not sure where that came from! In other news, 10+1 for Cookie at Leicester tonight. Hopefully he’ll be in for a good weekend too
  19. Could be worse, could have Jye Etheridge! Lambert is probably a 5-6 point rider at best, he's not suddenly going to become an 8 point plus rider in his mid thirties. He was always mostly a 3-4 point rider in a stronger championship from what I remember, he's probably riding to the level he's capable of I would of thought?
  20. A whooping 13% increase, must be a struggle for them going forward. If there was 450 there last time a 13% increase is about 60. There were at least 60 Comets fans in attendance, so not hard to figure out where the increase came from!
  21. Yeah thinking that too but as ever the rule book isn't clear. As after Saturday we will have raced 11 CL + 4 BSN series (15) out of 20 Meetings, so would be 75% complete, therefore no changes after this time. That is however if BSN series semi-finals are included it would change. The rulebook just says BSN series!
  22. The rule book says no changes after 75% of meeting completed which is when the Poole meeting on Saturday is complete. Unless the BSN semi-finals are included in this figure! The post Comets put out on social media doesn’t actually say who the 2 guests are for, so could be interpreted either way…
  23. Glasgow's situation was totally different Ivacic is on a 6.00 average replacing Starke on a 3.46, You only have to re-declare under the limit when changes are not like for like. I.e average is equal or below to rider they are replacing. Otherwise, nothing stopping a club replacing a rider on a Wednesday, then swapping another on a Thursday.
