Somerset V Workington Koc 9th April
Marksman replied to oldtimer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Can't judge Mason on one performance around a track he has rode maybe once or twice a few years back, his actual CMA for this year is 7 so far including a maximum, so from starting on 4.69, can't knock him. -
The SCB has have this in their rulebook; "The BSPA MC monitors all proposed moves and has the sole responsibility to approve all (re-)Declared Team Line-Ups having been satisfied they are in the best interests of the sport." That is probably the reason they will give, maybe their scared that Newcastle would of been too good haha! Plus the fact the having 3 KL riders may make some meetings become abit farcical with guests?
-
Yes both, Henry for Lemon would bring them to exactly 42.50. Looks like Newcastle will have 14.29 points to play with... Multiply by 1.6
-
Only Danny King doesn't I think, average would be 10.74. Not sure how many points they have to play with, would it involve dropping another rider also?

Newcastle V Workington 04/05/2014
Marksman replied to The White Knight's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We rode really well last night, but Mills has to go he is miles behind the pace and was gifted his 1 point yesterday, can't believe after dropping a point off his average to below 3 last season we are still persevering now when we could get a young NL rider who is capable of progress. The likes of Sarjeant, Perry, Clegg etc?? -
The depleted Comets entertain the Rebels tomorrow night looking for a first leg advantage. Unfortunately Rene Bach is hospitalised in Denmark after a crash tonight so the Comets will now be tracking 2 Guests and r/r, with everyone eligible to take the r/r rides. Line up's: 1. Josh Grajczonek 2. Mason Campton 3. R/R 4. Kyle Howarth 5. Stuart Robson (G) 6. Chris Mills 7. Chris Schramm (G) 1. Nick Morris 2. Charles Wright 3. Brady Kurtz 4. Pontus Aspgren 5. Oliver Allen 6. Todd Kurtz 7. Paul Starke

Just need a somerset win, even if ipswich get a point, we can still qualify if we were to get 4 points at Glasgow. Because Ipswich would finish on 14 points (1.75 MPA) ours would be (1.83) if somehow we can get 4 at Glasgow

Peterborough V Newcastle - Tuesday 29th April
Marksman replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Did anyone else notice Nigel saying that the PL pairs will be shown live on sky? I find it hard to believe that they'll be showing that, although would be probably be one of the best meetings they could show on sky. -
Workington V Sheffield 11 May
Marksman replied to Stan Duppcomic's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The World under 21 qualifier is on the saturday at leicester. I think this fixture was arranged in advance for the Sunday because of the possibility of Ash and Kyle both could of both been riding in it, which hasn't happened. -

Yeah forgot about Dribble, he is 23rd in the averages, but you probably haven't learned to count yet so I'll let you off. -

British Semi-finals
Marksman replied to Fozzie4388's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Looks like two cracking meetings, so much better having two semi finals than, when a few years ago, they used to seed some of the riders into the final. Gives everyone a fair crack at the whip. -

Lawson named as reserve for the Berwick meeting, he should be in the main meeting, seriously how many chances does Harris need it's beyond a joke now. -

Had to laugh at the Redcar reporters prediction of Workington finishing 8th in the league -
Interesting, wonder if they'll sign Kake Nieminen to replace him?

Well now that our title challenge is effectively over for another season, I'd thought I say what a great first season it has been for the new promotion; people are excited about the comets again. To that end I think we should keep the mainstay of the team, and I would go with: 1 Richard Lawson 8.28 2 Mason Campton 4.69 3 Kyle Howarth 6.86 4 Rusty Harrison 6.63 5 Rene Bach 7.85 6 Chris Schramm 3.55 7 Wright/Compton/Morris 4.36 Total 42.22 I think Mason is a cert for next year, as long as the visa issue is sorted, that means I don't think Tero will be back which is a shame as he never let us down really and always seemed to pull off that Heat 14 win. Kyle is capable of stepping up and averaging 8+ next year and loves riding for Workington so I'm sure he'll be back. So along with Lawson and Bach, 3 heat leaders who can be averaging 8+ is a strong base, especially in a league possibly without its 2 top riders from this year? I'm sure Rusty will be there again, Rusty has been abit hot and cold this season but riding at number 4 he will average around 7 and provide able back up. I'd be surprised if our top five is dissimilar to that, it's the reserves which could be the key. Chris schramm at 6 for me, he likes riding derwent park and I think he is a steal on that average. I believe he lives in the south, but he's riding been riding for Newcastle and I don't think that will be a big deal for him. Number 7 is the question mark, would have been good to have Campton at 7 but I think is average is too high to balance the team. Options? Ashley Morris might be back, but there are 2 better options for the higher averaged reserve. Charles Wright has had a great season in the NL, and has backed it up by doing very well for Somerset. And then there is Andre Compton, which would be a big gamble, could be an asset at reserve, I know he's very friendly with Rich Lawson so could well be a possibility, I reckon he could put in some big scores at home, but who knows about away form? I think they are the few realistic choices for reserve. Any thoughts?

5.33 is right, Kyle gets a reduction, because he rode in the british development league.
-
Now that we are definitely running next year this team would be okay 1. Richard Lawson 2. Kyle Howarth 3. Rene Bach 4. Adam Roynon 5. Craig Cook 6. 3pt Res? 7. Gary Irving Would come to around 42.2 with british deductions!
-
Yeah there was only about 6 gp's, Comets often ran on the Sunday in order to have Stoney in the team.
