Comes to 39.99 with Riss on 8.33 They will do better than last season for sure, but will find the same issue Worky had this year where Heat wins are no problem but heat advantages are a problem
-
Rides some form of Pro Motocross hillclimb now, shame his speedway career ended like that. Never say never if he can ride motocross...😆
-
No, he was transferred over to Swindon at the time with Kenny Ingalls transferring to a Workington asset
-
This is the wording it just says ‘Published average’ from the previous season i.e 2024 Each category must be looked at in order, starting with number 1. The riders average to be considered is to be the published average over 18 or more heats in the previous season (converted to meet British Speedway standards) and if the rider fits in more than one category the higher average is to be used. 98 Speedway Control Bureau Regulations If 18 heats have not been completed the next category down will be applied, proof of which must be submitted to the BSP office for approval before the Team Declaration is submitted.

It doesn't work like that, Pawlicki and Milik were given 7.50 averages because they were both Ekstraliga riders in 2023 averaging over 6. By the rulebook chart and under the criteria, Kildemand would be a 4.00 Premiership / 5.00 Championship. This is because he only rode in the Danish super league this year, i.e Didn't complete 18 or more heats in Poland/Sweden, and has been absent for 3 of more years from Britain.
-
He does and would imagine he would be a very long way down the list given the amount of options available with 4.3 points to play with.
-
Same happened in Poland this season, riding in the 3rd tier for Pila. Done nothing much in 11 meetings then in his last meeting of the season went out and scored 13+1 from 5.
-
Mitch only rode 17 Heats in the U24 league, the minimum criteria as a 5.00 rider is 18 heats or more.
-
Not if we are talking about 2024 alone and recent form it doesn’t
-
Yes, but that is exactly my point his Green Sheet or Rolling average is 7.96. But his actual average from 13 meetings in 2024 is 7.09 His green sheet average therefore includes 7 meetings from 2023 when he rode for Oxford.
-
I think you're being a bit ambitious there, I don't know where they've got the top 15 stat from unless they are using rolling averages to make it sound better. Kerr averaged 7.09 last season, making him 20th on the list. I can't see him putting nearly 2 points on that at this stage of his career with the injuries he's had.

National Trophy side for Workington next season, built to a 38 limit. Will fill in an extra 4 Saturdays during the season https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wsra-ndl/ndl-expands-for-2025/
-
Yeah plenty of options available on that average, his exact quote was..
-
The cancellation of the Ben Fund and the guarantee it was bringing to the club had a knock on affect with this, but it got sorted in the end. It was a rather ambitious jump into the deep end of professional speedway.
-
Saw he’s still riding at 49 years old, could do a job on a 4.00 Heard his countryman Robert Nagy is the favourite though
-
Signing No.6 announced at 7am tomorrow.
-
Good to see new faces in the league, rides with Palovaara, Fraser Bowes and Drew Kemp in the same Swedish team. And also had a couple of outings for Lublin U24 team alongside Bowes this season.
-
By my reckoning only 6 riders who have a team building average of 8.00 or more from last years championship field will start in 2025. Harris, Masters, Lawson, Wright, C Cook and Batchelor. Probably shows how much the dynamic of team building changes to teams building to a more strength in depth option, not out of choice but because they have to. Redcar might be the only expection in 2025 if they have Wright, King (just under 8.00) and the return of Riss.
-
No he is 29 now, but did ride a handful of meetings for Opole this year but his season was cut short. Previous to that he’s hardly rode anywhere apart from international meetings for Ukraine.
-
The rule is that you need to have rode 18 heats to qualify in a Category, in the table by the above poster. It’s on the next page of the rulebook. McDiarmid only rode in 17 heats for ZG. Meaning he is a a Category 6 rider on a 4pt average, however criteria can always change as we know!
-
The guy you are talking about would be a 4.00. Good 2 page spread on him in this weeks Speedway Star..
-
And Joe Thompson (was in the Speedway Star)
-
5 weeks too early, that meeting is on the 29th December.
-
It's the art of Persuasive Speech, 'Bargain average' is the most overused saying in Speedway at this time of year. Subconsciously done to seed the thought of optimism in minds of supporters.
-
Etheridge will do just fine at Northside next season, like others have said he's a 5pt average at worst. Riding at No.2 or No.4 he'll be a good asset to the team particularly at home. He found it tough riding in the heatleader posistion last season espcially when Berwick were decimated with the injuries they had. Fraser Bowes to be announced tomorrow 😎
