  1. Not sure, but the BSPL site has uploaded the Stags logo to it this week along with adding this page... https://britishspeedway.co.uk/calendar/2024-scunthorpe-stags-fixtures-and-results/
  2. Are Scunthorpe Stags making a reappearance in the NDL in 2024?
  3. Must of missed that one, I knew he had left Tarnow. Hope it isn't Vissing, wouldn't mind if it was Jorgensen though Kenneth Hansen is another too, but he rides in the Longtrack GP's now.
  4. I think James might have given it away a bit when he said he may be required to take up a mechanic role in the pits next year instead of doing the team manager role. i.e someone coming back to ride in the UK who doesn't have a mechanic over here. Rene Bach? Rene also hasn't re-signed in Poland as of yet
  5. It’s called ‘No brakes, no fear. The Official British Speedway Podcast On the usual platforms, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google etc. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/podcast/
  6. Correct, Ian Brannan confirmed these dates on the latest Official podcast
  7. 3pm on a Saturday, as there is no lighting
  8. I can’t see us changing our race day to a Sunday, will remain as Saturday’s I would of thought
  9. Might have to run the final at Northside as a one off final at this rate The track is in mint condition and will be running all winter, there's a lot to be said for having a 100% shale track Seriously though, what will they do in a weeks time, when it still likely hasn't been ran?
  10. Is this a potential change of Race day then?, because the Comets ride on a Saturday currently and always have
  11. Just to add to this with some geeky calculations too, based on a minimum wage worker. In 2018, you’d have to work 2.04 hours (£7.83ph) to get into speedway. If it’s £20 in 2024, you’d have to work 1.92 hours (£10.42ph) to get in. I know there’s a lot of other life costs increased also, not least interest rates. But it gives a slight perspective on entrance fee increases.
  12. I think it was £16 in 2018 last time we were at this level. £20 will be reasonable imo, although I can only imagine what some people will say when it’s announced it’s £20. But even non-league National League football is £20 to get in these days. Unfortunately some casual fans won’t realise the actual costs to put a meeting on.
  13. What are Championship admission prices these days, £20/21?
  14. Would love to see Stevie at Workington
  15. This is the team I'd like to see, purely based on Riders I like and that I think would be available, nothing else. Who knows what will happen, but it's exciting times to be a Comets fan again! 1. Craig Cook 2. Alfie Bowtell 3. Tom Brennan 4. Connor Bailey 5. Steve Worrall 6. Luke Harrison 7. Sam McGurk 37.22 Steve Worrall did actually sign for the Comets for 2019, which never happened.
  16. Yeah there is loads of constant overnight rain forecast on the Met Office radar, so probably not looking good. I know there is an open practice session on this Sunday, so doubt that would get moved with riders already booked in Reds match looking in doubt too, they've posted about monitoring the overnight forecast. So probably tells how much rain it's put down
  17. Any interest or chance of this one going ahead, or will the track already have taken too much water, the weather is awful here today. I note Luke Crang is down at reserve for this one with his new average of 3.62, That's 2 riders who have managed to drop 4 points off their average this season!
  18. I'm sure this worked last season with the old 'app' but it certainly doesn't work anymore, would be one of the best features if it can be returned. Edit - seems to work on the older streams, but not the recent ones. I guess it's no good for people wanting to watch straight after the broadcast has ended
  19. I see there's no word on the Kent Home meeting or the re-staging of the NLDRC yet? Didn't expect to be running into October speedway at Northside this year.
  20. Connor is riding tomorrow, r/r for Sam McGurk and Dayle Wood guesting for Ace Pijper
  21. The lad has progressed amazingly this season, I believe he will be an Ekstraliga regular in the future. He rides attacks tracks and rides outside lines others won’t in Britain Not a given that he’ll be riding next week though and miss the NLRDC I believe Woffy and Janowski are both still aiming to be back
  22. I guess we might not be seeing Connor Bailey again this season, he's been added to Wroclaw's main squad for the Play-off final, wow! Judging by his Instagram, he's been out practicing on Woffy's machinery ahead of this weekend, not bad for a NDL rider!
