  1. Starke came in for the Comets and did a decent job, it wasn't hard to improve on what we had from reserve all year though. At times he beat who he should beat but often looked slow. This YouTube clip probably sums it up it you haven't seen it, and how much more determined Foord is
  2. Dayle Wood is actually a good signing the way he progressed towards the end of the season if you saw him ride. People maybe forget he has one of the best mentors going too, him and Cookie are joined at the hip.
  3. Don't think that would be an issue in the slightest. Should know each well from being Workington teammates 15 years ago 😆
  4. Hard to predict without some teams being completed, but with the options that are left I can't look past the bottom 4 being Plymouth, Berwick, Edinburgh and Scunthorpe in no particular order. Top 5 could finish in any order, injury and re-declarations dependant. Oxford - will be competitive Home and Away again, expect Nicholls and Jody Scott to come back in at some point Redcar - Best heatleader trio, will be a team you want to go and watch. I don't rate the bottom 3 of the team much though. Poole - will be competitive whoever completes the team, not as dominant as in 2024, but may well be come the end of the season. Glasgow - like Redcar but a better overall top 5, Howarth and Flint probably won't improve their averages much but Dan Thompson and Boughen will Workington - top heatleader trio at Home, Vuolas and Zischke will have the beating of anyone around Northside, strong at reserve too. But the Comets will be questionable away from home.
  5. Matthew Gilmore perhaps, rode in the U21 World Championships in 2021, now SGP2. And also in Poland 3rd tier in 2021
  6. It was a sarcasm Mr Worrall, you are talking like he's the Second coming of Christ. If Glasgow want to pin hopes on 2 guys potential who averaged a combined 2.56 then fair enough All I'll say is watching Sam McGurk who somehow averaged more than both of them was painful.
  7. So what your saying is he mugged Berwick off by averaging 1.52 for them all season, and is proceeding to do a Kevin Wolbert on them to succeed at Glasgow, got ya.
  8. I'd rather have had Nicki Barrett back but beggars can't be choosers.
  9. Looked very good in his last heat I remember, the track suits his style. Signing too many newcomers doesn't help away from home, more than happy with our reserve paring. Bonus point king for Plymouth, most bonus points in the whole league infact. Including bonus points, he averaged 5.65. (6.26 Home, 5.12 Away) Safer signing than last seasons 4 point rider..
  10. Comes to 39.99 with Riss on 8.33 They will do better than last season for sure, but will find the same issue Worky had this year where Heat wins are no problem but heat advantages are a problem
  11. Rides some form of Pro Motocross hillclimb now, shame his speedway career ended like that. Never say never if he can ride motocross...😆
  12. No, he was transferred over to Swindon at the time with Kenny Ingalls transferring to a Workington asset
  13. This is the wording it just says ‘Published average’ from the previous season i.e 2024 Each category must be looked at in order, starting with number 1. The riders average to be considered is to be the published average over 18 or more heats in the previous season (converted to meet British Speedway standards) and if the rider fits in more than one category the higher average is to be used. 98 Speedway Control Bureau Regulations If 18 heats have not been completed the next category down will be applied, proof of which must be submitted to the BSP office for approval before the Team Declaration is submitted.
  14. It doesn't work like that, Pawlicki and Milik were given 7.50 averages because they were both Ekstraliga riders in 2023 averaging over 6. By the rulebook chart and under the criteria, Kildemand would be a 4.00 Premiership / 5.00 Championship. This is because he only rode in the Danish super league this year, i.e Didn't complete 18 or more heats in Poland/Sweden, and has been absent for 3 of more years from Britain.
  15. He does and would imagine he would be a very long way down the list given the amount of options available with 4.3 points to play with.
