Anyone else remember Norman going headlong into the fence on the 3rd turn at Wimborne Rd in the early 70s, being thrown over/through the fence onto the dog track. Many of us thought the worst, it looked horrendous. But after a few minutes he got up, dusted himself down and walked back to the pits. To a rousing reception from the many thousands of fans who were always in attendance back then.

Probably the most entertaining GP ever being followed by probably the least entertaining GP ever. A dreadful advertisement for Speedway and an enormous disappointment after Cardiff.
