  1. I am happy with the outcome, I hope Simon can build on his results last year, crack on and prove that the loyalty shown by both parties is rewarded.
  2. No it isn't nice, but Simon must have known it would hurt Panthers when he decided to sign for Kings Lynn,I am a big fan of Simon and all he did for us last year,I just don't see how it can work, unless something is afoot we are not aware of.
  3. I was really pleased that we had no double uppers this season, whilst I always supported Simon having a place in this years line up after his efforts last year, I cannot help but feel his signing for Kings Lynn puts a different slant on things. That is a lot of matches to miss, welcome our new team member, R.Replacement.
  4. He is not a Peterborough fan, just a trouble maker, that finds enjoyment 'winding people up'
  5. Picked it himself too, that says it all really, still it is good to know that he agrees with us deluded lot about something.
  6. I am a Peterborough fan, I too post occasionally, there obviously is a plan,Simon is part of the plan,I think and yes that is only my opinion, he well deserves to be part of the plan. We might be now on plan C or M for all I know,Simon hopefully has featured in all of them, I doubt the team that starts the season is the team that finishes it, good luck to them all and a very Merry Christmas to you all too. P.S,I hope it snows
  7. I think I would rather wait until everything is 100% ratified, who knows what could mysteriously happen to the rules if we played our hand too early.
  8. I had mine on (specs)and couldn't tell what had happened, initially I thought it was an engine failure, then somebody sitting near me said he had been fenced, nobody said anything about sparks and a chain,he was certainly not happy, perhaps I need to change my view next year.
  9. I would keep Simon Lambert, his attitude and enthusiasm must add to team spirit and thus result in other riders adding to their average!
  10. Great meeting, but the most memorable part for me was seeing Lewis Kerr walk those steps down the grandstand,to a standing ovation and ride round on the bike, Who could not have had a lump in their throat!
  11. I have never been and will never go to a Speedway match to watch my team win by any means,I go to watch good racing,it might not seem credible to some, but I would rather see my team lose by one point and have it exciting,if the Sheffield promotion and Sheffield fans want to watch dross because of tactics it makes me sad. If this match is forced on us I hope our management can sort out a half decent team.
  12. Phew, nearly broke out in a cold sweat at the thought.King Kenneth Speed must have been writing the welcome back post even as you posted that !
  13. I wish I had gone to the pub, what a flat evening that was.
  14. Good job again by the management, great signing, onwards we go !
  15. I said I was looking forward to this one,not disappointed, still think that Friday gives a better atmosphere, all the team contributed to the win, even the Mayor looked to be enjoying it.
  16. What a shame, good luck to the young man on his chosen path,he will be missed at the Showground.
  17. I like evening meetings so much more than Sundays, more atmosphere, usually a better track, looking forward to this one !
  18. I have no idea what he earns per point, but if you take his earnings per season so far,you are of course (for once) quite correct,as in any job, you actually have to do the work to get the pay. If I was doing my job and never turning up I would expect the sack.
  19. Ben has always struck me as a good team man, that is what we need, well done the management for making the move, good luck to Ben and welcome to Panthers, now let's hope our wounded riders are soon fit and healthy! There is no point having a Ferrari in the garage with no key to ride in it!
  20. So would a lot of us! How easy it must for certain people to put us down for wanting what is best for our team, when it is not their team being treated with what appears to be disdain by a rider. I realise injuries happen it is the nature of the game,I respect 100% what the riders risk every time they go out on track,I think our promotion have done a brilliant job this year, facing injury after injury and still pulling through...but...as a paying fan,I am entitled to an opinion, seven Simon Lamberts or seven Robert Lamberts..I know which I and most of my friends would pick! I just hope Simon is back with us next year.
  21. Personally, I disagree with you completely,I have been supporting Panthers for many years, from where I sit at every home match I judge the fans to be thoroughly nice, supportive, also, appreciative of the visitor, clapping and cheering if they perform well, even if they are beating Panthers, you only need look at the reception Ollie Greenwood got at his last appearance for us. I know nothing about the ins and outs of Robert,I can however understand frustration of people, when it appears he chooses not to ride for us,e.g after the world cup, this is because we are so loyal, also don't forget a lot of fans contributed to the saving of the club, so this would suggest it was worth saving. I have enjoyed my Speedway this year at the Showground more than I have for a few years, long may it continue, with good team spirit and riders that want to be in our team, however good they are,if they are not 100% with us,I would rather be without them.
  22. One good signing they could make would be Batters as commercial manager,I am sure any commercial agreements in place now were started when he was in charge, get him back they might even break even, which might solve all he other problems.
