Never watch soaps however it is thanks to speedway (or more to the point a return from a trip to Eastbourne and going in the local pub on our return) that I met him indoors................never saw him again for 4 years and then a mutual speedway loving friend brought him into the pub where I was working at the time..................the rest as they say is history...................been married 28 years in August.............its had its good and its bad times but we are still hanging in there.............just.............. Cardiff Advice
Red Panda replied to Coventry_Bee's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Anyone thinking of using the Marconi campsite at Lavernock you don't need to pre book..............I rang a few weeks ago and was told that the camping field is for speedway fans only that weekend....................... RP -
I can think of plenty but would probably get banned....................lol Saying that there are times when I do agree with Gavan but they are very few and far between.............and to be fair he did not attach any blame to Poole for what happened at Coventry....................its only when people seem to mention DW it gets his back up................ RP

Well said.......................we all make mistakes from time to time............none of us are perfect by any stretch of the imagination............... RP

Whatever happened to freedom of speech...................I was not being contradictory at all............... RP

Here we go again............raking up past history that is totally irrelevant to the current topic........... If Darcy wants to comment on the Hancock/Pedersen incident he is quite entitled to do so.............if he is banging on about rider safety then may be he has learnt his lesson...........either way like every other time anything about Darcy comes up......unless you were with him when any incident happened then you know nothing................ The Dilemma Of Greg Hancock
Red Panda replied to Grand Central's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well having watched several different angles on video I can honestly say that Nicki P was entirely to blame for the incident and where by I do not condone riders fighting I have to say that I would never have expected that from Greg...............he has been fined and I gather other riders are offering to pay it because he did the one thing that many of them who have been taken out by Pedersen really wanted to do............I know Holder and THJ have had a go at him before................ Pedersen is a liability on a bike at times..................he has been warned enough times about his riding.............he got warned again last night..........apparently in Sweden two warnings in a season about dangerous riding can result in a ban................. RP -
Janowski and MMJ are already in the series........... Janowski, Kurtz, Zmarzlik and both Pawlicki brothers (if they can stay away from injury) along with Vaclav Milik have great futures............can also see Fricke and Lambert in the mix............. I think Janowski will be World Champion before any of the others though............ RP
-
Ward will never leave Poole on a permanent basis.....................he is likely to go out on loan to one of 4 EL clubs...............well one of 2 as he has already turned 2 down................the only reason I can think of for linking him with the Tigers is because one of his closest friends rides for them..........which is probably why he is unlikely to go to Swindon..............his average would be far too high anyway.............. RP
-
May be not but it was clear he wanted to get the result.............as for the track being unsafe again that was down to the weather..........where was the track walk that normally happens when there is the potential to call a meeting off............sorry but Coventry only have themselves to blame for this debacle..............no one else.............. Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15
Red Panda replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I am very strong on Poole matters...............I have followed them since 1976 and my mother before me and my grandad was one of the original track staff when it first opened.................. So yes it all comes from the heart..............and some posters do talk drivel especially those who think they know everything but haven't a clue................if I am wrong about something I will admit it which is more than some of the usual suspects do................. Try telling that to Kyle Newman..............he will tell you otherwise about Garrity.............. RP -

I am not disputing Newman crashes but he never deliberately sets out to take someone out literally.................which Garrity does............. RP -
Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15
Red Panda replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Newman will be well above Sarjeant and Garrity's level at home...........Starke on his day is excellent...................Garrity had better behave and not try and take Newman out at every opportunity.....................Garrity is a liability on a bike when he rides against Newman........... Saying that every time I have watched Garrity he has been a liability on a bike................ RP -
Is this still going on.............its really getting a bit tiresome now...............especially as Horton said on camera 'if you are going to run heat 9 you may as well run heat 10'................. Coventry haven't got a leg to stand on.............the fact the meeting continued and they withheld their riders services and got fined as a result even though their promoter said to continue to heat 10 to call a result does not bode well in anyones books................ Give it a rest now and move on.............. RP

Typical Edinburgh fan..............can't see beyond the end of their nose where their own riders are concerned............... There have been several other incidents including one at Birmingham a few years back which nearly ended a riders career (my apologies but the name of the rider escapes me)............... Until he grows up and stops throwing his toys out every time he does not get his own way (being named as reserve in the SWC at King's Lynn and refusing to attend the meeting because he was not in the team proper therefore Richie Worrall being named as reserve last year springs to mind) then he will never make the grade..................I have never rated him and in the few times I have seen him ride he has always been a let down............... RP
-
Fenced Pawlicki right in front of where I was standing and its not the first time he fenced someone.............. RP
-
No time for the guy...........throws his toys out of the pram if things don't go his way............known for fencing riders as well as was proved at Poole last year................ If he wants to be in the big time he need to ditch the PL and get into Europe............... RP
-
Oi I ain't that old thank you very much................ In answer to the original question the Buccaneers ran for two seasons and that was it............it was not cost effective to run two teams at Poole Stadium............ RP
-
I totally agree it was as if he did not really want to be interviewed and did it because if it was known he was there and did not do a TV interview in might be construed as ignorance...............you could see he felt uncomfortable about it and I also think the Tweedledee and Tweedledum were wrong to push him as much as they did................ It should have been left until Darcy was ready to face the media rather than be pushed into it................... RP

Poole V Kings Lynn - Wednesday 3rd June.
Red Panda replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ummmmmmm Hayley Perrault was in Birmingham and Darcy was in Poole???????????? Do keep up............... I had planned to go down but life got in the way..............good from what I saw on TV...........I would say one of the better matches that has been on recently with some good passing for a change.................. RP -
He has been quoted as saying he will not ride for anyone but Poole............ RP
