I've just registered to add my tuppenceworth on the event.
Personally I thought that the racing was great, the track excellent and the whole event brilliant with one exception.
Why do the production team insist on playing Engerland songs? The event is the BRITISH Grand Prix in the Capital city of WALES and we get poor quality Come On England chants. Come on guys, that's cheap, nasty, xenophobic and classless. This event deserves a LOT better. I have a wee bit of experience in putting events together and it's really not difficult to come up with a playlist that motivates a crowd, and whilst that nonsense may have stirred up a few skinheads and BNP members it did nothing for the fans from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. And we're British too incidentally.....
All of that said, even if kids with air horns do deafen me, knock my specs off with their flags and kick the back of my seat, I'll keep on coming as it's a great event. I find the Welsh to be really friendly and Cardiff to be a very welcoming city. Shame the hotels have to mark the prices up so much though....
