What a great speedway meeting, full credit to both teams. Congratulations to the Monarchs!! Fantastic advert for PL racing Had a wee laugh when Pearson said he hoped the EL meeting tomorrow night would be just as exciting as tonights meeting... - Saw more passes and proper 'racing' tonight than in a whole season of watching the EL yawnfest!

Woweee, absolutely fantastic GP - Heat after heat of brilliant racing Not a great fan of Woffinden but big up to the lad, he did well.

Is Tai financially able to compete in the GPs? He is well sponsored, but the step up to GP level must surely cost a fortune. I believe that Tai could compete on the world stage, but is he really ready for it yet? I'd hate to see the lad thrown in at the deep end only to end up being another Harris or Nicholls. If it comes down to nationality who gets the w/c place, then so far we have:- 2 x Australian (JC/CH), 3 x Poles (TG/RH/JH), 1 x Russian (ES), 1 x American (GH), 2 x Swedes (AJ/MZ), 2 x Danes (NP/KB). I'm fairly sure that Freddie and Hans will get picks, making 3 Poles, Danes and Swedes. Does anyone know when the wildcards will be announced?

I'm not aware of the numbers! You state that because Poland, Sweden and Denmark stage the GPs then riders from those countries should be included. Then you mention an Englishman, I was merely saying that England doesn't stage a GP. It was said as a tongue in cheek comment! For what it's worth, I think nationality is totally irrelevant, it should be the top 15 riders in the world who compete in the GPs and the wildcard representing the country the GP is held in. In the case of Cardiff, it should be a BRITISH rider Many speedway fans support the rider(s) from their club, or they have favourite riders that they like to see doing well. Of course we Brits want to see our countrymen competing in the GP competition but if they are not up to the mark then they don't deserve to take a place from a rider who should be there on ability, not nationality. Like others have said, the fans will still flock to Cardiff irrelevant of whether a British rider has a top 15 place or not.

It's been a few years since 'England' last staged a GP Using your theory then it should be two Welshmen that get GP places next season.

It's all in short clips and should click onto the next one automatically. I had trouble viewing it through Firefox and found that when there was about 4 or 5 seconds left of the clip I'd forward onto the next clip. It's a pain but it's the best I could find....!

If there are child friendly zones, air horn free zones, can I suggest a large person zone. My partner and I spent £67 each for seats in the stadium and on both sides of us were oversized people who completely filled their seats and spilled over onto ours. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against large people and I'm not being discriminatory against them, after all I'm not exactly skinny myself. I was annoyed to have paid all that money for decent seats and not be able to sit and watch the meeting in comfort. I even gave up filling in my programme because I couldn't move. Isn't it time there was a section in the stadium where larger framed people could book seats and sit in relative comfort. I know this post is non-PC and I mean no offence to anyone.

Speedy recovery to the lad who was injured, looked a nasty one. What an experience it must be for the lads to have a spin at Cardiff, something for them to remember all their lives and tell their grandkids. Thought the refereeing was a bit harsh, the poor lads must have been bursting with excitement and to be excluded for tape touching was too strict. Surely common sense should have prevailed and the lad could have had a warning and been allowed to continue in the race. Like the other posters, I too would much rather have watched a few more heats of the youngsters than some frilly person tied to a balloon. Very unfair on the lads to cancel their races and we speedway fans missed out on seeing some talented youngsters. Good luck to all the lads who took part, here's hoping we see them in the 'main event' in the future.
