I would say advantage to the away team given set ups won't be the usual ones.. When watching Leicester at the NSS they have often been in good positions out of bend two, lap one, but then get passed as the track slickens and the Aces knowledge kicks in.. With some grip down, they might not get passed so easily....

And women for cleanin', ironin', looking after the kids, and getting my bloody tea on't table the second I gerrin frum an 'ard days graftin'..... Proper order....

A very much "one off" where an injury to Ostegaard helped them get many a decent guest in for him given his start to the season... If he had stayed fit I would suggest the Panthers wouldn't have won the title.. A perfect storm of a season for them, which is unlikely to occur again... Teams that are successful more often than not, have two "big hitters" and build from there..

Although Crawfords are on hand to come in as a guest biscuit if anything happens to Mcvities....

If it is wet, and they still run, the racing will be very processional... One line with loads of grip... Won't be great to watch... They would have to remove "lots" of material and there would still be a "berm" that will develop that the riders will use... PUK got his track record in similar conditions.. The final deserves a showpiece event not a gating competition....

Because you can give plenty of meetings a miss knowing your team will qualify for the play offs.. KL, Brum and either Oxford or Leicester, were the clear ones that would miss out.. And after aprrox a month, it was clear Leicester were the ones that would qualify... Sport needs "jeopardy" to keep interest... The Aces suffered greatly by running the SON but also clearly qualifying weeks out for the play offs.. And, as we know now, your finishing positions doesn't matter anyway..... A (max 2 times), extra 1000, doesn't cover the loss of punters picking and choosing their meetings during the season.. But, if it does, it will be very, very marginal...

You don't need 1000 punters to turn up "extra".. Over 12 meetings of the season, you just need less than 100 to NOT give each week a miss... Which is what clearly happens now..

100%.... Look at the Aces crowds during the lead up, and just after the SON,... The punters money was spent on the "World Class" event, and not the "run of the mill, we will qualify anyway" league matches...

It is mind blowing that they run week after week, guestfest after guestfest, in front of die hards, who will happily watch any "Barry White" served up... And then lord the fact that the play offs get "bumper crowds".. This year the top four were named by virtually everyone on here, with maybe Oxford being the fifth contender who may sneak in.. Selling such nonsense must be a difficult gig..

You cynic.... Don't you know that they bring in an extra 1000 punters more tham a normal league match.. The same 1000 punters who miss loads of meetings throughout the season as they don't take the "qualifiers" seriously. What a plan....

Just amazing speedway from Poland again... Can't ask for much more than that from any sporting contest... All played out in front of a huge crowd too to add the atmosphere....
