  1. Just needs to face facts... And not blame "everyone else".. Will have far more respect..
  2. Time for Woffy to retire gracefully... Can't handle the close racing... A great legacy, so don't spoilt it...
  3. A league that should use guests surely? Track time for as many as is possible has to be the main priority..
  4. Famous last words.. But, we have seen great meetings after a lot of rain...
  5. Surely the fans that still go have the sport they want..? Cannot blame the promoters putting "any old speedway" out, when those, who by their very attendance, collude with them that it means something...
  6. And on, and on, British Speedway goes...
  7. You are correct.... Sadly, at least, 10 years too late.. "Going it alone" was the huge opportunity... One league "Premier Lite"' and one league "Championship Lite".. Lots of teams per league, all racing at their "natural level" for their crowd numbers... Doubling down used to help the Championship Lite teams to have a good British number one, who could help develop talent... And all the teams riding on nights that deliver their best crowds.. Horse, stable doors, bolted...
  8. When Drabik retires from speedway, you have a feeling he may still make some news headlines..
  9. 100%.. Hence Thursday nights are now Poland's to do what they want with... Basically.. "You let us have Thursday's and we will let you have some of "our" riders". "(But only until it doesn't suit us for you to have them)" "Agreed? Great news. Just sign here, here, and here, please"...
  10. It certainly won't be a "good look" for anyone watching "who used to go" or has a passing knowledge of the sport.. Certainly no FOMO when you watch something with swathes of empty seats...
  11. I presume that means £11.50 per meeting if you go to all four??? Forty six quid if so!!!! Edit Loads of tickets left... Not sure they will need the extra seating... When do they officially get worried about the uptake in seats?
  12. And if you ever take that away... You end up with no big crowds, which means no big TV contracts, which means no big sponsors..
  13. And only four guests too?... Must have packed 'em in...
  14. Some great racing tonight.. Ben Cook looking very at home at this level...
  15. The racing at most places is pretty poor isn't it? BSN must be cheesed off as they depend so much on "generic" speedway fans subscribing... I get to watch Poland and Sweden and often give UK racing a miss on Eurosport given invariably it is poor entertainment.. Apart from a few tracks, eg. (in no particular order), NSS, Glasgow, Worky, Scunthorpe 0 and Redcar, there does seem to be a very low entertainment threshold at a lot of tracks... Based on a "win at all costs" mentality maybe around track prep? What promoters forget I fear is that only one team can win a league, so, for many teams, they are out of contention within a month or two,.. (Leagues where let's be honest don't carry too much kudos or financial reward).. ,Therefore, selling "the racing" for thes majority of clubs has to be key surely?
