  1. Woffy Woffy Woffy by Nigel Pearson 50 Types of Injuries by Adam Roynon How to bend rules and manipulate people by Matt Ford
  2. Theres a game for Andriod phones called Speedway Challenge. It has a small management role aswel as racing in meetings. Very addictive. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.com.berobasket.SpeedwayChallenge2016&hl=en_GB
  3. Never expected an 18pt lead really gives us hope for progressing 2moz but job is only half done. Plymouth were very poor except Worral and Holder to a lesser extent whose deserved more than 5 points. Nielsen scoring well with 8+3 from 7 riders but was quite up and down. Rest poor and never looked like challenging much. Monarchs top 4 were not troubled much but everyone dropped a point or 2. In the bottom end Clegg scored an impressive 7+2 majority coming from the back. Exciting yes but be nice if he could gate more often. Nice to see Dan getting his first paid win in a very impressive heat 4. Etheridge had a good couple races but still looking uncomfortable at times (falling while in 2nd with no one near him). Despite the lovely the weather this week it was another nippy one but clear blue skies. Shame the meeting seemed to drag on and quite alot of track grading tacking place but it did provide some good racing so suppose it was worth it. Interesting meeting next week with Edinburgh against Belle Vue Colts in an intermediate challenge. Be good too see William Lawson back in a meeting round the dale with a few youngsters taking part (and mitch davey thrown in).
  4. Managing to get along to watch this. Monarchs to win but be amazed if its more that 10. Plymouth to easily win on agg.
  5. Hope this works out well. In Laws stay not far from carmarthen and would be great to have a night away from them at the speedway. Good Luck
  6. Lets ignore the fact that Bjerre (while sitting on track not lying) on the ground grabbed Masters helmet and pulled him down when masters slapped his hand out his way. Not that im defending any conduct like that both shud have been punished. Anyway thot this was a Glas v Ber thread?
  7. Close scores kept it entertaining depsite lack of passing. Rain right before start ruined what might have been a decent track. Few incidents dragged the meeting out but a happy ending had by some. Berwick looked very weak with only Doolan and Pijper looking threatening. Monarchs top 4 very dominant and great to see Dan and Jye get amung they points they were both chuffed in the pits afterwards. Max continuing last season with struggling on away tracks he should really be competing against other reserves just doesnt seem to get set ups right. Berwick didnt dispoint with their pies and burgers (had to sample both of course) will be back for more in the summer as it was bloody cold one. Onto the League next week where the real prize is
  8. Making my way to this on sat. Reading good things about Berwick this season and having witnessed it last friday they also have a decent team. I would be happy if we managed to keep the score close but of course a wee away win for us would be nice. Got the mother in law visiting this weekend so please weather gods ensure this stays on
  9. Nice to see we please the Edinburgh haters (although im not sure why they hate so much but if it keeps them happy) A very good meeting and credit to all the riders who made a match of it despite the constant (but light) rain throughout the night. And all done and dusted before 9 (why not do that every week). I didnt expect a Berwick win though we would have just enough to scape a win but fair play to them they battled away and deserved it. Really solid scoring from Pijper and Doolan aptly backed up by the rest (Mellgren apart). Monarchs just didn't perform. Masters was sublime and Clegg did make a few great passes and very entertaining to watch. Riss/Wolbert/Fisher all had their moments but need more than just the odd good race. Etheridge and Bewley as expected but was nice to see them putting some laps in after the meeting. They both have potential but I think we will see both struggle for points for a while. To early to say we should drop either but if no improvement im sure replacements will be in (all within the rules of course ). Only going to get worse next week when a fired up Glasgow come calling. Win or Lose I will be there (when wife/job allows) cant have success all the time.
  10. Pumped, Hammered, Stuffed...Pick one they all apply. Decent first match in a good stadium and nice weather (only a slight chill in the air and no sign of rain). Glasgow look good with the 'weaker' 3 all chipping in with good points. And top 4 all solid. Impressed with Ayers who looks to be loving it (will certainly appeal to the tiger fans). As for monarchs. Masters superb and easily a number 1. Fish/Kev/Riss/Clegg looked rusty and slow from gate. Jye should do OK decent gate just needs speed (nice to see his fustrations when he fell of after leading for most the race). Dan looks about 13 and can't fault for effort certainly not afraid of throttle just needs more experience. Overall a fare score and form like that should see tigers through in LC but will see how they do at away tracks.
  11. Shud be a decent match. But a narrow Glasgow win I predict. Just happy to see my team on track and see how the new boys get on (Bewley should be entertaining acording to reports). First of many trips to a great stadium
  12. Was thinking that myself. Altho the 'top' riders are all quite equal ability so should make some cracking races. Thought would be more appeal to the higher level Aussies with GP wild card up for grabs (although think most injured or recovering). Was thinking that myself. 13. Its not the greatest team in Edin history but not the worst iv seen (same can be said for Glas). Every rider capable of increasing their average or easily as capable of dropping it. Last signing shouldnt really make a huge difference to how our season will pan out so dont mind waiting. If we make the playoffs great another good season, if not then oh well onto 2017 its not a big deal really (been spoiled last 2 seasons) March still a long way off so will just sit back and enjoy watching all this petty bickering between what I consider 2 of the best fans (never had a bad experience from either side). Merry Chrimbo
  14. I downloaded it this morning but my comp didn't meet specs (which came as a surprise). Asked stream for a refund and it's already been refunded. Decent service from them.
  15. For you Wolves fans who might not have seen Masters little interview on the Edin site. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=2271
  16. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=2271 Good to see Sam back.
  17. Will stick in my tuppence worth now the enemy has finished their septet. At first glance looks worse than last season but closer look maybe not by a big margin. Very strong top 4. Lawson/Summers/Worrall should be pretty consistent (Worrall got the easier task of raising his avg), Barker on the other hand has had couple bad season with injury and dont think he will be back to his best (although near to it will please the tigerati). Bottom 3 on the other hand look poor but there is potential. Iv seen glimpses of what Lunna and Garcia can do and im sure they will both have decent set ups for the start of the season all it takes is one to step up to even a 4 avg could make world of difference. Dont know anything about Ayres but a young (ish?) Brit and hope he does well. At home and away it very much relies on top 4 scoring heavily so there will be some hammerings on the road and possibly at home but can see a few wins picked up on the road. Play Off contenders?...I would think so. Now back to watching all the 'banter' between Edin and Glas. Some of it is actually funny.
