Nothing wrong with being Smug (I admit I am when my team are doing well, in any sport) just have high standards at Home against a team that, by the admission of their own fans, are dreadful round the Dale. Glasgow had a rather impressive win tonight aswel why not try some Smugness out you might like it -

Slightly disappointed we didnt hit 60 but hey ho got the win. Bandits appeared at points Jensen was very impressive in his 2 wins, good gates and fast. Doolan appeared for a great win over Cook. Showed his experience when Cook dived in on bend 3 but kept his cool and cut back on 4 to win it. Kus and Edberg also got among points without looking too threatening. Vissing (surprisingly) and Bellego (not surprisingly) very poor. Worrall/Fricke unbeaten in their 3 races together and looked fast when infront. Sedgy solid as ever. Sneddon should have scored more but his gating seems to have deserted him tonight (I always though of him as very good gater but slow rider). Little disappointed with Cook but dont think he made a gate all night, seen him practising after the meeting. Stand out man was Masters really got the hang of the Dale now, very smooth and fast. There were a few nasty looking crashes over the evening but lucky everyone walked away. Bit like Berwick with loads of FTG but as its a small track racing can look better/closer with less spacing out. IF we get choice of teams for the play-offs can see us picking Berwick in our group. Should add some fans to both gates and we are capable of getting at least a point a theirs. Nice to have a local rival this season -
Edinburgh V Somerset (pl) 15/8/13 @ 7.30pm

Credit where its due, Sneddon scored well 2nite, home form wasnt really in doubt but hopefully acts as a confidence booster for away meets. Worrall and Masters flying with Sedgy close behind. Cook and Fricke wee bit of an off night but involved in some great races. Back to the top of the table and Smugness almost returned lets see what happens on Sunday. Thought Allen would have done wee bit better and its always good to see Morris on form must be one of the best visitors to the Dale. -

Better team won simples. Few riders had an off night. Just shows how much we relied on Steve when he was at reserve. Sneddon once again terrible. -

Agree about the reserves, I see Berwick as slightly better because they have the scoring power in reserve (why no Kus in 14 tho ) but then again our top 5 stronger. Should be an interesting play offs and would still see us picking Berwick if given chance purely because they are rather crap at Armadale. -

Credit to Berwick, should have sealed the win earlier tho. Also hope both Matty and Aaron are all right after a horror looking crash. Now onto Edin, this may seem harsh but Sneddon is letting the side down. We know what he can do (ippo and sheff last season) but he is a massive liability at the moment looks like an amateur at times. Smuggness is all but gone for the moment after recent away meetings (it will no doubt return at some point). We must hope in the playoff we can hammer teams at home cause we wont pick up many away wins. Happy to proved wrong tho. Wee extra rant (not to take away from Berwicks deserved win). Some of the Ref decisions , talk about no consistency!!! -
Edinburgh Cookie - Slightly underachieved this year but has more back up this time so can have 'off' nights Sedgmen - Hitting the level we knew he could when announced and very fast/smooth round the dale, still the odd bad away meet. Fricke - Continues to improve and impress where ever he goes Worrall - Star of the monarchs this year, not fazed by moving up into team and still scoring well. Masters - Slow start to season but seems to have gotten hang of dale now and picking up vital points away Fox - Good scorer at home but struggles on away tracks, impressed how hard he works behind the scenes to improve Sneddon - Disapointing this year, fantastic captain but could be the weak link in team come play-offs. Looking far ahead id like to keep Fricke, Masters, Worrall, Sedgmen and Fox for next year with Cookie (hopefully) moving to better things abroad and Sneddon not included (unless average low enough). Cant really have to many complaints on how season has turned out so far

Not sure I agree on the comments re the Entertaining meeting. I started to fill out my program after 2nd lap. Yes close racing but even the fast riders had no chance of passing (Kus chasing a slow Fox springs to mind) I like going to Berwick, great track to watch the speed these guys go at but passing is rare. Really hope things improve for the Sky meet getting shot of P rick Barrie would be a great start. All came down to battle off the gate and 1st bend. Berwick were lighting from them and deserved the win. Monarchs will recover and hammer them at the dale (hope i dont regret saying that ) mite aswel continue the trend #-2

Tully only recently returned to the UK and is due to head back out to Aus again in a wee bit. Will see if he returns next season.
