  1. Yes we always stood on the back straight, and those pork sandwiches were something to behold .
  2. I had to spend a night in Old Hill nick for an altercation I had with a Cradley woman who was built like a sumo wrestler. She started mouthing off,and I said shut the f..k up stupid c.. Anyway then it all kicked off, with about six Wolves fans and around 20 spoons. The police came, and the Cradley lot said I started the scuffle, and consequently I was marched out of Dudley Wood . I pleaded my inocence but still had to spend a night in the cell to calm down. .Yes,at the time I was angry, but looking back those were the days to be treasured .
  3. If Norwich was the nearest team to where you're from you should be supporting them.Mind you,United have got more supporters in Outer Mongolia than they have in Salford .
  4. Wow ....And and there,s a Man Utd shirt.Probably not been within 50 miles of Salford in his life.Support your local team, anyone can be a glory hunter.
  5. Yep,a rich Del boy who likes showing the world what he eats for breakfast.
  6. Running/ Owning a speedway club is a negative full stop .Starting from a blank page, with crowds averaging 1500 it is going to take years to break even. As the saying goes"A fool flatters himself,a wise man flatters the fool".
  7. Not a fan of Peter Adams btbf he's given Kemp every chance to make a name for himself at this level. As well as his scheduled rides he was occasionally given an extra one hoping to drive up his confidence, but sadly this rarely paid dividends.Seems like a nice guy off track, but needs to show some spirit and aggression when on it.
  8. Well if he turns out to be worse than Kemp ..as Frazer would say "We're Doomed" .
  9. But Shovlar says he's gonna be a superstar, although you have to take that with a pinch of salt.lol
  10. Certainly nowhere days gone by,especially when the Spoons were in town .That's when Monmore was really rammed.
  11. 22 years sponsorship without a break, tbh don't think Wolves would have kept going without their backing.
  12. I think it's hilarious.Best one so far"How do you think Wolves will go this season " followed by very next post " I think they'll do ok". It's all a bit of fun really,no harm done.
  13. This is guy has been playing to much Blinds Man's Bluff.Tungate levels above Sam Masters lol . Embarrassing.
  14. Does contradict himself at times, saying Flint is the best RS by far,but also saying in an earlier post he's hopeless around Monmore.
  15. Here we go again, the Monmore hater has to get in his usual two penn'orth.
  16. A lot of doom mongers out there, but I think they'll surprise a few people.
  17. Certainly looked more comfortable with the track towards the end of last season, but learning the trade at Berwick is a vastly different animal to then having to ride at Monmore .Have no doubts he'll master it in the end.
  18. Absolutely,so far 105 pages of wild speculation and not a single rider signed on the dotted line.
  19. And Flint was finally getting to grips with the Monmore track at the end of the season. The reserve pairing will unquestionably be stronger in 2023.
  20. Dunno . Haven't been to one for ages, but can find most of the transcript in the local rag.
  21. Find it strange why Wolves are taking so long in filling their final spot with the appointment of "Steady Steve" Worrall .Unless something has gone wrong which no one knows about,it should have been a formality in bringing him back for a 2nd term.If for some reason he's not returning, think it will be difficult in finding someone suitable on his average.
  22. May find it difficult gaining away wins in the first half of the season, but come play-off time fully expect Belle Vue and Sheffield to be fighting it out once again.Think my own team Wolves,it's top four at best.
  23. Is this site going to be for multi purpose use, because if it's for speedway alone it's totally unviable.Someone as already stated it's 21 acres @£300,000 per acre.On top of that building new track and terracing, that's getting close to 10 million pounds .So it's absolute madness if it's just all about speedway .
  24. And also because with CVS at the helm riders know they are going to get treated properly and get paid on time.Thats one of the reasons why most of them are quite contented to remain at Monmore.
