Wolves V Poole Ela 5/5/14
Tommy Sweetman replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Dissapointed Tai didnt put in an appearance at Molineux yesterday.I know he couldnt play in the testomonial due to his shoulder injury, but he could have least made the effort to have been there to have shown the support to Birmingham Childrens Hospital charity. We all supported him, with his charity bike ride, and i know a lot of kids around where i sat on monday afternooon, were left wondering why he didnt turn up.(Although it was mentioned on the Wolves web-site he wouldnt be there). But it was a good afternoon, with over 9000 Wolves and Sunderland fans sitting side by side, and help swell the coffers towards a wonderful cause. -

Ive been saying it for the past three years that Adams should pack it in.Think hes nearly 66 now and hes convinced he can go on forever. Time catches up with everyone, and regardless what he thinks about being some kind of Peter Pan,some of his decisions are worrying. Why on earth did he put Jacob on 15 metres in heat 7 when he had the option of putting Joe Jacobs from the gate and in doing so lost the 1 and 3 starting positions. Its going to be very difficult to make the play-offs now, dropping all these points at home.Especially not being renowned for our form away from Monmore. -

But they would all be wrong then.Holder has said on more than one occasion that he enjoys comming to Monmore. -

We will see how quick Tai is running down the wing at Molineux on monday afternoon, for Jody Craddock,s testimonial. Mind,he will have an excuse if he turns knackered on the same night against the Pirates. -

Not what he said in one of todays papers,"i want to get the confidence back". Still thinking all of those knocks are playing on his mind though. Its important no one gets on his back(unlike Shovlar)and give him time to get over his problems. -

Perhaps Tai is thinking of changing sports, playing in Jody Craddock,s testimonial at Molineux next week. -
King's Lynn V Wolverhampton (23/04/14)
Tommy Sweetman replied to em1500uk's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
People seem to forget he went through the card with a 15 point max(even though it was against Brum)and looked pretty quick and confident. Then in the next meeting,he suffered those three crashes, and tbh he hasnt looked the same rider since. Tai is the sort of guy that wont blame injuries for his indifferent form, but i still feel its more than bike problems and self belief thats causing concern. I know,he feels that he is letting the side down at the moment, but its important that he knows all the fans are behind him both for Wolves and the GP,s. -

Says the one,who said he would take half a season to master the Wolves track. Well he aint doing to bad on it right now,and Kirky Lane isnt a million miles different to Monmore. -
Could be close, i see a 47-43 victory for the Aces, depends what sort of Tai turns up on the day. Wolves have Tom Perry in for Joe Jacobs, who is on duty for P,boro.

Wolves Vs Kings Lynn 14/4/2014
Tommy Sweetman replied to superguest's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Definiitely a "homer" decision by the ref. If the same thing had happened at Lynn, with Proctor on the inside and NKI then falling, the outcome would have been exactly the same. These things level themselves out over a season. Very impressed with the Stars youngsters, and if Wolves cant win the league, hope the title ends up in Norfolk. -

Yep,lamb dressed up as mutton.Complete waste of time. -
Just a pity CVS didnt make Joe an asset of the club before Coventry stepped in.First impressions are he is going to become a very fine rider.
-
Dont know who will be available out of the draft pool on Good Friday, but with all EL teams riding that day,and P,boro having a double header against Ipswich,it will be difficult to replace Joe Jacobs at Belle Vue.

Youre not allowed to call fellow Wolves fans idiots, unless they make idiotic posts.

Absolutely spot on with that assessment,Birmingham as a city seems no longer interested in any kind of sport. Crowds at Edgbaston for the cricket ,have nose dived in recent times, and can only see speedway at Perry Barr following the same trend. Dont think fans in the city are fickle, just that they prefer to spend their money on things other than sport. -

Ty and Ash biggest let downs so far, both had two races, not really on the pace. Dont know wether its Proctors machinery, but would have trouble beating the mascot.Jacob looking quick. Thats more like it from Ash,this could go either way now. Most races won from the gate. -

According to todays B,ham Mail,Graham Drury says he tried to sign two riders that are lining up against the Brummies tonight. Suppose one would be Scott Nicholls, but couldnt meet their financial terms. -

Says so on their site. Dont know if you have to place a bet to watch it ?. -
Ty really upset with Somerset in article on Speedway 365,saying thats the last time he ever does anyone a favour in speedway. Invested a lot of money in doing both leagues, and now after saturday hasnt got another meeting for three weeks.

Its happening either side of the stadium.I parked at a factory unit in Cooper St(Bilston Rd end) a few years ago,and had my side window smashed, and radio taken. Brand new car,two days old.Went to the police station in the city to report it,and told it was happening all the time, but they hadnt got enough man power to deal with it.
