Belle Vue vs Wolves (KOC) 18/5/23
Tommy Sweetman replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes you can claw it back but only because 11 heats were possible in the first leg,Wolves would have undoubtedly hit the 60 mark if it had run it's full course. -
Wolves v Sheffield Monday 15th May.

Schlein also commented it was slicker than usual, but no complaints if it's like that every week. -

Good guest for Sheffield..rides M.G ...really well... Better than Holder. -
So the 15th May meeting has been switched back to a Prem league match with Sheffield, and presumably Scott Nicholls will be available to slot in for Wolves (average permitting).Hopefully not Ben Barker otherwise we're all going to be there until midnight while they replace the safety fence, which he normally demolishes on his visits to Monmore.

Peterborough Panthers 2023

Then Wolves would have been virtually unbeatable around Monmore, and in the process picking up a lot of valuable aggregate points. Honestly can't see why CVS and Adams haven't included Hans in years gone by.Ever since he came to these shores,he's nearly always been a double figure rider around the Green. -

Even at reserve don't think Hans will ever get the scores around the Showground than he gets around Monmore.Pity we couldn't fit him into the lineup, not really sure if his average would have fit if we had kept Morris instead of Schlein. -
Can't see that particular site being big enough, especially with Tai saying he would like to get involved if they could find a 20 acre piece of land so it could include Motocross.Wonder if that field in Lawn Lane next to the JLR plant is an option, but if it was, would the Wolves fans be prepared to travel that far out of town.It would be a long walk from the nearest bus stop if you haven't got a car. Oh...and if we have build a new track, model it on the old Dudley Wood circuit, didn't like the team but loved the track.

Wolves v Leicester 24/04

Light rain for about an hour, but it certainly wouldn't have stopped the meeting going ahead. But to be honest the BBC online site forcast much more than that. -

Then that could be a factor,27 points in his last 2 league meetings at Monmore. -
Hoping for a good turn out following last week's devastating news, but looking at the forecast think the rain will win the day.If it does get the go-ahead it will be much closer than the Lynn and Aces thrashings, with the Lions having quite a few track specialists in their line-up. Going for a 10 point home victory .

The future of British Speedway after the 2023 season
Tommy Sweetman replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He wouldn't have signed the petition,he hates everything Wolves and the city of Wolverhampton. -
Molineux was mooted years ago before Sir Jack started the redevelopment of the stadium, but decided against it because he feared the supporters would be to far away from the action with a running/speedway track around the perimeter of the pitch. To late now, with the positioning of the new North Bank constructed in the Steve Morgan era.

Then pi$$ off back from where you came from, uneducated clown.Everyone knows he's got his mental health issues, but no need for posts like that.

Traditionally this fixture has produced one sided affairs over the last five or six years with big wins for both the Stars and Wolves. So I'll break the mould 45-45

And CVS said earlier this year if there hadn't been an extra team in the league this season he would have pulled Wolves. But unlike Peterborough(if the Showground is no more)we would still have a track to race on.So it would need looking for someone to purchase the club lock, stock and barrel. Sudden Sam has been mentioned in the past. Also,CVS and Adams are now both in their 70,s and can't go on forever. -

Exactly. Darcy Ward once said he liked the occasional visit to Monmore because it was different, and it gave him an experience to learn better skills on the bike. -

Pal, you need to attend Anger Management classes, you've been on here since 2014 and looking through some of you're posts virtually all of them have been attacking Wolves or their track.Monmore is what it is due to the restrictions placed on it by the landlords Ladbrokes. The track used to be 329 yards, but now it is only 288 yards due to the back straight being restricted to a mandatory gap between the dog and speedway track, consequently making the bends smaller(have a look on Google Maps for an aerial view to see what I mean).I agree Monmore is nowhere near as exiting to watch the sport as it used to be,but it's either this or nothing at all. -
Thought BSN matches didn't count towards the averages.
-
Long time to wait though, gonna be June at the earliest.
-
Don't be surprised if he scores well tonight he'll be tempted to come back full time at Wolves. Its been mooted for years that Nicholls would eventually become a fully fledged Wolf. But that would leave us way under the limit.

Piotr Pawlicki if he fails to do the business for Wroclaw.Think he's only doing Poland, would he come in on 7.00.

Except when you've got the dogs in the afternoon like at Monmore, Wolves aren't allowed to practice. -
Emil Sayfutdinov and Co bring in the crowds?
Tommy Sweetman replied to Phil's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The top riders have always been able to cope better at Monmore due to their advanced technical skills, but it's riders who want to fly around the boards that can't master the tight turns .Typical example is Leon Flint, racing at the big Berwick track and then having to come to the Green certainly isn't easy.
