  1. Think thats a fair appraisal of the above riders. Out of those mentioned,i like the look of Berntzon,Fricke and Thorssell . Not sure about who would be our No1.Although on his average Woffy would be a steal, its highly unlikely he will be back. Of the draft riders we used, only Joe Jacobs enhanced his standing in my mind.Wasnt that impressed with Morris or Perry tbh, although it was a really big ask for them last season against some of the top notchers.
  2. Tai been preparing in Poland for saturdays GP,interesting to hear him say dissapointed to miss the last two ELRC meetings, but hopes to compete in 2015. If thats the case, then he hasnt ruled out the EL next year.
  3. Didnt one poster(think it was Wolfie)say a couple of months ago the reason Michelsen didnt sign for Wolves, was that he didnt think he could get on with our manegement team. Also, dont think hes been that impressive around Monmore.
  4. The only reason im saying Poole is because of Oz connection, and Lynn being his favourite track. Some might say Swindon because of his mate Batch. But not sure he likes the Abbey track.
  5. If,and its a big if. To me,only two clubs would come into the equation Kings Lynn and Poole. Just my opinion mind.
  6. And yet according to CVS there are top riders that do want to ride here, quoting him saying Twenty four hours before opening night(this season) a top-line rider texed "Is there even the slightest chance i could come, because im not happy with where i am" and then adding he had no worries about next seasons No 1,and that he had been inudated with requests from riders wanting a place in the side. Wonder who that mystery rider could have been ?.
  7. If Woffy does ride in Britain next year, hope this dosent explode into another Olsen situation. The anger and bitterness it caused with him wanting the move to Coventry seemed to drag on for ever. Regardless what the managment says about him only being allowed to ride for Wolves, holds no water with me. If he is unhappy at Monmore(and theres no suggestion that he is)then he will ride where he wants to ride. No promotion who ever they are, and what ever they offer, wants to keep an unhappy rider. It just affects the morale in the rest team, and as such, results will suffer from the consequences.
  8. Anyone got news from last nights talk-in. There might have been plenty of sensible questions, but not sure there would have been many sensible answers.
  9. No,its not only the missing riders, its not rocket science why the crowds are down. Good results(play-offs minimum) = Good crowds. Wolves supporters have previous in this matter,if we dont perform at home, the crowds stay away.Yes, the loss of Woffinden and Pawlicki have been a factor, but Tai,s lack of form coupled with patchy performances from Wells and Proctor and all three reserves its blantantly obvious it will affect attendances. CVS and Adams know they have to get it right for the 2015(regardless of the league format)season, otherwise another year like this one, will see the crowds down to the last few hundred die-hards.
  10. Greg given the green light to ride on saturday(Daily Mirror).
  11. And what about Jason Garrity, some Rye House posters on here are sayng he dosent want to be at Brandon next season, and wants a move to Monmore. Have no idea in what form though, surely cant be in a reserve berth,he will have to double-up from in the top five.
  12. Agree about Lasse and Jacob, but not sure how they would fit in Wells or maybe Proctor. If the league stay with roughly the same format(and its a big if) then who would you leave out. According to TNT,Bernzton is a nailed on certain starter for a place,so someone is gonna miss out. With the ammount of guest rider bookings he has done for us lately,is Rory Schlein another CVS and Adams is looking to recruit. And again, with Woffys low average(if he wants to return)that gives more scope to strengthen the lower order. All ifs and buts, but something has to change. This cant go on as it is,the Elite league is a total mess from top to bottom. But dont hold your breath they will get it right, cant tell on the committee who is the monkey and who is the organ grinder.
  13. Agree about Bridger, last few times ive him on Sky(and 365)he has only had one string to his bow,and thats riding the boards, need more than that at Monmore. Having loads of lines at Wolves, hes never gonna get big scores, unless hes tries something different.
  14. No,but havent seen any updates about his fitness for next saturdays Gp.
  15. So more guests for our final league meeting,Schlein,Danny King and Ricky Wells(if you can call him a guest)and possibly one for Joe Jacobs. Glad to see the end of this farcial season tbh, gonna take a lot of thought and decision making by CVS and Adams over the winter, regarding the make -up of the side for next year, regardless of whatever the format will be. Only one meeting after this one,The Olympique mid october.
  16. Much rather have Bjerre back on a average of just over 4.00,hes only gonna get better now he seems to have found the right club. Its not only injury with Ty,his confidence is shot to pieces, and if he doesnt make the start he even finds it hard to pass a reserve.Perhaps a really good winter back in Oz might do the trick, and hopefully to get back to the form he showed prior to his crash at Brum.
  17. What did you expect us to do,get Sudden Sam and Rocket Ronnie out of retirement. Mind, they would probably have put on a better show than some of this lot riding for us.Downright disgrace.
  18. Any clues yet TNT what young riders we can expect to see in the Olympique.Personally id like to see Bernzton,Krcmar and Garrity in the line up. Perhaps a couple of new Danes, but no journeymen and definitely no new Poles.Dont think any team will find a new Skornicki to rely on again,he was a one off im afraid.
  19. You will soon have to start counting the home fans Lefty,if last monday was anything to go by.
  20. Well done Pirates on hard earned victory, but we did deserve something from tonight. Pity we didnt show that spirit when it mattered. Thanks to Bomber and Rory, just getting tuned in for the play-offs down in Dorset.
  21. No-----------Lassie is looking like the dogs bollock$,starts like $hit off a shovel. Was a bit of a roller though tbh
  22. BW,i agree with you about the racing, tbh it was one of the best meetings weve seen this season, just a pity, so few of us to see the action. To be fair to those that didnt attend, can fully understand why.Think losing Pawlicki was the final straw.
  23. Blimey, things must be bad.Wolfsbane aint been on yet to bury the hatchet in CVS or Adams head. . Perhaps even he has given up on lost causes .
  24. Have to agree mb,the place was absolutely dead.Might even have been our lowest crowd since our ill-fated venture into the lower league. Even though im not his biggest fan,Porky did try his best to create some kind of atmosphere, but everyone just seemed down and couldnt be bothered. Another sad part of it for me,was the decline of PK.A shadow of the rider we loved and admired, just cant see him being part of the plans for next season.
  25. So why should different rules apply to speedway, that dont apply to other sports like footie. If a football team that wants to sign a player thats no longer under contract to any other team, then they are free to do so,regardless of any transfer deadline. The only difference is i suppose, that in speedway, that particular rider is still classed as an asset, and remains their rider even if he doesnt have a contract to ride for them.
