  1. Think picking Bates over Starke was wrong, but the only way CVS and Adams can justify the decision is, can we really miss out on an 18 year old kid who has obviously got a bright future in the sport and someone who we can nuture into becoming a potential heat leader. I agree its all about now.But having Blackbird(who is 27)are they thinking along different lines to all of us in making this decision.
  2. But Bates is six years younger. Think that might have come into the equation.
  3. Because he won the under 21,s at Monmore. No excuse though.Should have been Neilsen or Starke.
  4. I amazed having first pick we didnt go for Neilsen. Although Bates won Under 21,s at Monmore, dropped a big bo-bo not going for the Belle Vue man who was very impressive at the Green last season.
  5. Thats how i read the situation regards "shared teamplace" Perhaps ifs thats the case,Wolves might even be able to tempt back Pawlicki to share along with someone else.
  6. Yep quoted in tonights Express and Star online edition.
  7. Not sure if this has been already mentioned,it was passed at the AGM that Tai could have shared his meetings with another rider. Why not mentioned before.
  8. Surprising to read that both Morris and Jacobs seem to be out of the picture for 2015. Perhaps CVS and Adams pinning their hopes they get Starke in Grade 2.
  9. Plain common sence, there has to be give and take on both sides. Ok,let them not be in the draft. Back to square one.Not enough good Grade A riders to satisfy demand if thats youre answer.
  10. So you dont mind having an unhappy rider you doesnt want to be there. I certainly wouldnt want that at Wolves, whats it do for moral within the team. Thats why i said,it will all be sorted before wednesday by talks between the clubs. It probably already has tbh.
  11. If he dont want to go,end of story. Regardless of the grading system, the rider still has the final say. Leicester arnt daft, they will know the situation. So probably some wheeling and dealing going on between clubs before wednesday.
  12. Have you been to the NEC today TNT,or is (was) Tai saying nowt.
  13. Flagrag has already said Blackbird wont be at Leicester,as he hates the place. Cant remember Auty riding at Monmore last season, but prior to that couldnt stay on his bike. Nothing is certain, but Blackbird is as near as you can get to it.
  14. Nicki Pedersen. Trouble is,if you are led to believe what CVS says, they are all queueing up to join Wolves.
  15. Its just a pity there arent more direct flights to Sweden from the midlands enabling riders more time to get to their meetings on a tuesday. Only one flight from B,ham(6.30 at night)and none at all from East Mids. Its a pain in the ar$e trying to get down to Stansted from Wolvo. You could see how tired Tai looked in his documentary making that journey. Wonder if its cost effcient to perhaps charter a plane from Wolverhampton Airport(Halfpenny Green) to transport the riders. No idea how much it costs or wether its viable. Certainly make life more comfortable and relaxing for those concerned.
  16. Think now that the goal posts have been changed regards protecting a rider that was with a club last season and not an asset, can see only Wolves,Swindon and Leicester not taking out that protection. We could of course protect Jacobs or Morris, but think we will get a better pick in both grades if we dont take that option . Leicester, being first pick i think will go for Auty.Belle Vue perhaps call back Worrall, then leaving us to take Blackbird. Think Cov will protect Garrity, but maybe better off protecting Sarjeant.(they could lose out on both him and Jacobs if the grading doesnt go to plan). Maybe using just an asset would have been fairer, and it probably means Poole will get last pick on Grade 2 riders if Newman is placed at the top of Grade 1.
  17. Cant see how they can protect Jacobs.Horton bought out his contract from Ipswich in May,so presume he belongs to the Bees.
  18. Great news if he comes back, but didnt someone say he would have to find somewhere new to live,as his own property in this country is leased out to someone else next year. No problem, perhaps he,Jacob and Berntzon(and perhaps PK)can all find cheap lodgings at Ikea in Wednesbury .
  19. Id be happy with that Steve, apart from Ash.Just because hes an asset doesnt mean we have to put him in the side. He was ok at the Green, but his away meetings were nothing special.Has a chance if he can gate, but dissapointing when trying to overtake even Grade 2 riders(he was Grade 1). Plus, has he overcome his injury. Much prefer Joe Jacobs.(Cant see Cov picking Joe above Sergeant.)(Sorry if thats mis-spelt).
  20. If youre top five consists of ,Bjerre brothers ,Jacob,Berntzon,Fred or Tai,with a 34 point limit that team will finish nearer the bottom than the top. Id be very dissapointed if we start with that side.
  21. So if that means Poole get last pick for finishing top,and they will obviously choose their own rider(Newman)they get first pick of the Grade B riders. So,in theory they will get the best rider(possibly)in the first group, and then the top of the pile out of the second. Dont sound right (but what do i know).
  22. How does the choice for Grade 2 draft riders work.Is it Leicester having first pick ?.
  23. Surprised they retained the fast track formula with the better riders like Newman and Garrity still allowed at reserve. Suppose if we had a pick it would be Josh Auty. But think he will end up at Leicester.
  24. Great news for midlands speedway.Brilliant to have them both back, and hope the fans come in big numbers to jusify Tony Moles decision that the city isnt dead yet for our sport.
  25. Cant see Watt being a rider that Adams would want in the side. Just dosent fit Wolves DNA.Our normal policy is to sign young up and coming riders(bar one the season before last) Dosent tick any boxes for me.
