Aces Last Stand - Monmore Green 31/8
Tommy Sweetman replied to T.N.T.'s topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
CVS says he still expects a bumper crowd, taking the very wet weather into account and the cameras being there,id say that was a touch optomistic. -
Wolverhampton V Swindon 10-8-15

And hopefully the team manager can join em. -
I know CVS controls the purse strings, but if it was one or t,other that walked the plank id prefer it to be Adams. Hes just living on his past glories now, lacking in both motivation and ambition. In the old days he would give riders a kick up the ar$e if they wernt performing, and to a degree it worked.Im suprised hes in Tai,s corner at the GP,s tbh,so he must be doing something right for him. But has a TEAM manager i think hes well past his sell-by date, some of his decisions this season(and last)have been bizarre to say the least. I would say hes probably got a bigger say in team structure than CVS,so in that respect he has to shoulder a lot of the blame for what has happened this season. Together with CVS,s short pockets and Adams shortcomings wheres it all gonna end.

Feel exactly the same. Trouble is,if we all start voting with our feet(and a lot already have),then theres only gonna be one outcome. And none of us want that.

Thought it was a slightly bigger crowd last night than last weeks encounter with Poole. But still must be losing money through the turnstiles. A lot of those around me saying they wouldnt have bothered, and only came to see Darcy.

Kings Lynn V Wolves 16th July
Tommy Sweetman replied to Haza's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And cant see it getting better anytime soon. With the Van Straaten clan of David,Mark and Karl waiting in the wings, and Adams son Chris also involved,it seems for the next three years at least, its gonna be keep it in the family. Even though we keep going on about expectations for 2016,tbh whoever has the job of assembling the new team is going to have his work cut out in putting a decent 1--7 side together. Cant see Tai and Pawlicki wanting to ride for a monday night track,Fred is no longer a trusted heatleader and certainly not a number one. PK cant go on forever .Wells career seems to have peaked.Jacob unlikely to ever to fill a 1-3-5 roll. The cupboard is virtually bare(no good going on about NP)with what assets we have left, and we aint got any money. So it looks like starting from scratch, but you dont win titles tracking a side full of freebies. -

Blimey, you hardly need to be Einstein to get that right. In fact it would probably be easier to say,can Wolves avoid a 60 point mauling. -
Swindon - Wolves 2nd July 15
Tommy Sweetman replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its all very well CVS saying hes looking at new riders, but how do we know they would want to come to Monmore. I remember a post last year, think it was from Wolfie(who deserves a medal by the way for travelling the country watching this lot)saying how he was asking Mikkel Michelsen why he chose Eastbourne over Wolves. Think it went something along the lines " Because i couldnt work with CVS and Adams ". If that is the case with some of the riders, then surely our options are limited who would want to come to ride at the Green. -

Getting ready for the tripe and bu!!$hite whats coming in mondays local rag from Adams or CVS. "This is our biggest meeting of the season against Leicester, its a must win if we are serious about the play-offs.Get there early a bumper crowd expected, gates open at 6,30 for what could be our largest gate of the season.Sure the lads will be up for it to get our season back on track" And some of em actually believe what they say. -
5th V 4th - Wolves V Swindon - 1/6/2015
Tommy Sweetman replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We were always gonna struggle with the declared side at the start of the season. Fred was never going to get anywhere near his 9 point average. Thorrsell was never going to slot in as an heat leader. Musielak would probably see his assessed average drop to about 5. Didnt take advantage of 1st pick in 2nd FTR. The plus sides,PK and Ricky.Blackbird achieved what was expected. All the sides started with a blank canvas at the start of the season,so you dont have to be Einstein to see where the blame lies. -
Wolves V Lakeside Hammers 25/05/15
Tommy Sweetman replied to ShropWolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Dont think the Wolves web site will update this meeting knowing AJ wont be riding.CVS will be hoping fans dont read this site and go along to Monmore expecting to see some close racing between the three super Swedes. Now this aint gonna happen, and its a bit of a no contest.Certainly worth a fraction of the 18 quid entrance fee. -
Wolves V King's Lynn Monday 18th May

Well youve got your breeze.Just took the dog for a stroll up Sedgley Beacon and its very, very windy. Mind, its windy up there, when theres no wind anywhere else. -

Still raining, but blue sky appearing to the west over the Long Mynd. Very little wind,so track prep could be quite awkward for Doc. -

You make it sound as if Lynn cant ride Monmore. Ah,the last time they were here, 37-53.Doesnt look like they cant handle the track to me. And they have virtually the same team riding tonight as they had then. -

Mission impossible now then, especially with Fred not able to take an extra ride. -
Wolves Vs Pirates 04/may/2015
Tommy Sweetman replied to lino wolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Presume if Starke cant make it back from Rye House in time, then not sure Bates will make it back from Ipswich. Only 15 mins difference in start time(1.45/2.00).Poole obviously dont think its worth taking the gamble with the traffic on a bank holiday monday. Nothing against Nathan Greaves, but hope we can finder a stronger reserve than we did against Swindon. -
Swindon - Wolves 30.4.15
Tommy Sweetman replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Joonas scored six in both the fixtures he rode for Eastbourne at Swindon last year. Josh could also be missing next monday,s meeting with Poole.Hes riding for Sheffield at Ipswich. But that does have a 1.45 start. -
