One for Wolfsbane. Did you read the Express & Star article last night about the interview with Peter Adams. In a nutshell ." I was very close to quitting. When i think ive got nothing left to offer the club.I,ll stand aside. But i think we are some way off that." Basically,he felt wholesale changes had to made, because he felt things had gone stale between himself and the more established riders. Hence why a raft of fresh faces was made to the side in 2016. Suppose you can exclude Freddie, who has been offered the captaincy for next season. But perhaps it does explain why PK was left on the sidelines in the team building.

Cant view that attachment, but looking at Google Maps it seems the only place in Canal Street that looks like Nigel Pearson,s tweeted photo,is the piece of land just off the Dudley Road which used to be occupied by the old Harts Hill bus depot. Still cant fathom out though, how the Metro tracks would go through the middle of the site. Thought the idea of the new line was to get people to the Merry Hill shopping centre, whereas if it went to the proposed site it would be going in a different direction.

Where is this place in Brieley Hill that Nigel Pearson has tweeted that could have been the home of Cradley. He says it now cant happen because the proposed Metro line is going straight through the middle of the site. I thought the new line was supposed to be on the old freight tracks that are still in place. Cant recognise from the picture where exactly in Brieley Hill this site is.

Dont think you will find all dog tracks are having hard times.I know who makes the most profit at Monmore if its a toss up between speedway and greyhound racing. As ive mentioned before,Wolverhampton being a BAGS affiliated track, and all their races being streamed online(especially Asia)they dont have to rely on paying customers for their revenue. In fact id be suprised if they needed a single punter to come through the turnstiles to make a profit. Thats why i think CVS,s hands are tied on available race nights for speedway. Its quite obvious that Ladbrokes want speedway on Monday,s and the odd meeting on Tuesday. But not sure if either of those(certainly not Tuesday because of Sweden)is what the BSPA want regards fixed race nights in the UK. Remains to be seen if things are going to happen in 2017.But personally i wouldnt bank on any changes taking place from what they are in 2016.

Think Ricky will be first port of call when Masters is missing.Thats if he wants to of course. He might well tell CVS"Well you didnt want me in the first place when you picked Jacob over me,so go and get someone else to make up the numbers". But speedway doesnt work like that does it.As well as enjoying the adrenaline rush, they are also there to make a living.

And quite possibly the strongest number 6,regardless wether its Howarth or anybody else that ends up there.
-
Blimey, thats early ,Brum said it would be January before it was announced.
-
Cant we get him on HP from Workington. .Have first call on him then.
-
Yes he has BW. Thats why im quite suprised Dave Parry keeps putting up with constant failure. He must be a bugger for punishment.
-
CVS and Adams can count themselves very lucky that Parrys International have remained loyal with their sponsorship for 2016. After the teams awful performances of the last few seasons dont know of many beneficiaries that deserve such support. Reading between the lines, think Dave Parry has read the riot act saying things must change in the comming season.
-
Totally agree with all that. PS.****** I remember your fall out and consequent boycott of Wolves meetings. But dont remember what it was about(or is it secret).
-
Not suprised weve ended up with these two. Gobsmacked by the audacity that CVS said we would be gobsmacked. Do i believe anything that CVS and Adams says and does. Er,no******************

The thing is Wolfsbane,Ladbrokes hold all the aces. With the merger between Ladbrokes and Coral edging closer(Ladbrokes shareholders overwhelmingly in favour)who,s to say they wont want even more dog racing at Monmore. As ive stated in a previous post, with Monmore being a BAGS(Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service)and their meetings streamed world-wide via SIS,the bookmakers are making a lot of money from this facility. If Ladbrokes say it has to be Mondays for regular speedway racing(and i know im gonna upset Brum by saying this)will Wolves consider Premier League as a safer option. With 2016 all done and dusted for Wolves and Cradley meetings, theres no immidiate danger for change. But come the following season,????????????????.
-
When CVS mentioned "gobsmacked" did he mean speechless/ flabbergasted or a smack to the gob Tbh my interpretation of gobbsmacked is signing someone like Dudek on a 6 point average.
-
So,at the talk in, Tai says he would one day like to return to British speedway(along with others). But it would have to be a set night a week(either Wednesday or Thursday)when every team would race. He seemed to rule riding on a Monday, because of his commitment to Poland and Sweden. So nothing we didnt already know, except for the fact unless CVS can twist Ladbrokes arm to change our race night, then one wonders when we will next see Woffy riding in the Gold and Black.

Extract from a statement PK made in September, "We are in it to win every year,we really need next season to be much better. We have had two bad seasons, and we hope next year we can be back on a high again" That dosent sound to me that he wants to give the UK a miss,or indeed leave Wolves. As regards salary, both he and the managment know the state that British speedway is in at the moment, and realise that cuts have to be made. Does PK still ride in Poland ?.
-
Bet if he dosent hit the ground running he wont have the luxury of 22 meetings like we had with Musielak.
-
If that is true************ Have those two lost whatever brain cells they have left. 5.51 and not in the plans.PK could have been paired with Fred. Speechless and angry. And they wonder why fans are turning their backs.
-
Ricky has to come in over Thorsell. Its a no brainer. Is it definite PK is now out the equation since we have signed Bech and Kylmakorpi ?.
-
Wondered how long it would be before the Wolves anti-christ crawled out of his cave.
-
Kim Kardasian would be a crowd pleaser. And would put BUMS on seats.
-
Ladbrokes dont want regular Tuesday meetings. But think they can accomadate the odd one. Wolverhampton Speedway needs Ladbrokes more than Ladbrokes need Wolverhampton speedway. The rent Wolves pay for the use of Monmore is only pocket money to what Ladbrokes recieve from online betting(particualy Asia)Monmore is one the BAGS(Boookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service)tracks that streams around the world via the SIS streaming platform. So greyhounds would survive in Wolverhampton, regardless of how many punters came through the door. Wolves speedway just add to the income. But Ladbrokes would survive without them.
-
Problem with double-headers,CVS says he always loses money when they have to use that facility. Think Tuesday,s would be a better option, dont think Ladbrokes would mind to much for the odd one being staged.
-
Think Superguest is a she ?.
-
Ive mentioned this before, but ive always been shouted down by TNT saying it will never happen. Well nothing would suprise me now,and i dont think there was any need by CVS to antagonise Wolves fans by saying he was a big Heathens fan during his youth and spent a lot of his time on the Dudley Wood terraces. Yes it will be interesting now to see attendance figures on consecutive Mondays for both clubs. Personally id like to see both clubs in the EL,but its unlikely to happen at Monmore, with Ladbrokes seeming to want only one night a week speedway.
