  1. Lets face it Steve, hes hardly ever been flavour of the month with Wolves fans. Not many wanted Klindt as a rider, but many wanted his tasty average.
  2. So presumably now that Somerset have put their joke side together, and have omitted asset Sam Masters, its surely only time before Wolves announce him as their next signing. But very surprised the Rebels, havent included BWD in their plans. What average would he come in on?.
  3. Did have my doubts about Howarth returning on that average, but looking at his final six meetings at Monmore where he scored,....9,6,7,12,7,12..you can see the logic of him being included in the 2017 team plans. Think its a much better guide to how he finished, rather than how he started.
  4. Thanks for the reports Mb/Brum very thorough and informative posts. Just a few points............... With Masters now being probably part of the plans, didnt he have some sort of bust up/falling out with Somerset, and left under a bit of a cloud ?. Does Skornicki,s 7.22 average include x 1.4. So looks like going with 3/2 reserve to partner Clegg. No mention of Wolves asset Matt Williamson, who would come in on a 3.76 average.Knows the Monmore track well after riding for Cradley. Not surprised about the Klindt comment. He has took a fair bit of stick over the years from wolves fans. Anyway, thanks for taking the time guys with your notes.Much appreciated.
  5. CVS and Ford are mates. Scratch my back,i,ll scatch yours.
  6. Good god.Thats the sort of tail we will be left with,if we include Masters. Howarth, should never have been signed ahead of Sam. What a cock-up.
  7. Signing Howarth on that average now puts a bigger question mark on their plans. If he is to be third heat-leader(and he will be if they go for all-round strength)is a hugh gamble. Surely,CVS/Adams has a strategy, now that it doesn't include Klindt,of hopefully finding enough heat winners to make us competitive. Only Fred and Jacob, look like doing that at the moment. Perhaps they have a few suprises up their sleeves, and Stevebrum will bring us good news on Thursday morning.
  8. Can see CVS/Adams being asked some awkward questions now regarding the remaining three places in the team. Cant really see Masters being involved in 2017. Following Klindts departure to Poole, think they will now go for all-round strength, with someone decent to partner Clegg, and certainly no two pointer involved in the plans.
  9. And another reason, the two Brits situation solved. It could mean they are going for a solid top five, and bring in an Aussie( someone like Sissis) to partner Clegg. Apparently, plans to be revealed about the remaining three places on Wednesday
  10. Correct. Klindt will win races if he can emerge from the second bend in front. But if not,i wouldn't bank on him beating a two pointer from the back.
  11. Think he was referring to see if cheque book speedway played any part, regardless wether a rider is an asset or not. Fair play to Poole,if they matched the riders demands, and his parent club had first option but couldn't come up with a suitable offer.
  12. If you believe everything you read on the Poole site, and Klindt is heading for the south coast, then there needs to be a re-think on our plans for next season. Nic will miss a fair few meetings for the Pirates, has he as already signed a two year contact to captain Esbjerg in the Danish league. Looking through all the averages now(minus Klindt)the best I can come up with whats left is *************************** Lindgren----10.09 Todd Kurtz ----- 5.76 Masters ---- 8.88 Palm Toft ---- 6.98 Thorssell ----- 9.88 Clegg ------ 4.34 Dan Bewley ---- 4.00 Total ------- 49.93 Belle Vue will probably use Bewley if they run,But if not,hes done pretty well in the 3 meetings at Monmore last season. Arthur Sissis and Matt Williamson are alternatives, both fit within the points limit.
  13. Being that Klindt has already signed for Esbjerg in the Danish league on a two year contract(as captain),how many matches is he likely to miss for Poole on a Wednesday night. No great loss for Wolves, its just his attractive average that might upset plans at Monmore.
  14. Definitely have Nilsson. If there were any last minute problems with either Masters or Thorssell,he would be the one for me at Monmore.
  15. I suppose Adam Scornicki could come into the equation, especially as someone mentioned he could be re-assessed from his 7 point average. Being that hes only riden in the odd meeting since he retired,he isn't really great value unless they knock a point off his average. Kyle Howarth is probably a better bet on the same average as Scornicki, but he may not want to come back after some indifferent performances last season. But to be fair he did look better on new equipment in the play-offs. Think we are slightly over the points limit if we bring in Ash Morris to partner Max Clegg. But if they reduce Adam,s average by half a point, then it would fit. Lindgren Thorssell Masters Scornicki Klindt Morris Clegg.
  16. Not sure what converted average riders come in on who only ride National league, but if you only have 2 points left for your top flight points total, then your probably looking at the bottom end of the scale from who to choose from. A decent rider in that category would be someone like Kelsey Dugard. Still think the side I put together would have taken some beating. Adam Ellis(instead of Harris)with Clegg and Williamson at reserve. Obviously, now cant happen with Adam signing for the Robins. As regards Williamson, why make a rider a club asset and then not use him. Hes 25 next birthday,so its not as if hes 19 or 20 like Clegg who is not an asset. Not sure about Harris,if its a toss up between him and Thorssell,i would take Jacob, because there is still a lot more to come from him, whereas Bomber is past his best, and probably on a downward path. Masters has already said hes very keen to come back,so you can probably pencil him into the side on his decent average. What ever side Adams and CVS put together,it will be competitive, and would be a surprise if they don't make the top four, with the riders they have available to them.
  17. Masters has already said he hopes to be riding at Wolves for a long time,so you will probably get your wish.
  18. Why change the winning habit Sign up the same rider, who was first on the team sheet last season. Max Clegg. Its about time he was made a club asset, nothing to stop other clubs come sniffing around otherwise.
  19. And some on here said,---- 4.04 & 3.76 was to weak. Blimey,if we bring in Klindt at reserve on 5.42,he will think hes in dreamland(well he might beat a few of them when hes on the outside gate) (* Sorry about that BW and Wolfsbane )
  20. Would have loved to have seen him at Monmore, but not to be. Swindon with less than 29 points for the remaining 5 riders.Thats a big ask for Rosco to sort out.
  21. Nope didn't see any Leszno meetings, just going on what I saw at the Olympique. For me its always been about consistency with Musielak(he goes from one extreme to the other). No way would I swap any of the top five ive chosen over Tobias.(Other than Klindt, but his the average fits). But each to their own opinion.Sure Adams and CVS has different thoughts to mine.
  22. Freddie Lindgren 10.09 Nicolai Klindt 5.42 Sam Masters 8.88 Adam Ellis 7.84 Jacob Thorssell 9.88 Max Clegg 4.04 Matt Williamson 3.76 ------ 49.91
  23. Cannot understand why Musielak features so much in some posters line-ups.He hasn't progressed at all since he last rode for us.Not sure even 6.34 is good value. Using Max Clegg and Matt Williamson on 7.8 at reserve gives us scope for a stronger top five.
  24. To be fair to Nic,there was no animosity when he was left out of team plans at Wolves. In fact,i think he did say,if we ever needed him,he would always be on hand to help us out.
  25. Yep,i,ll take that. Not 100% sure about Klindt, but its a no-brainer on that average. But wasn't he released from our assets.?
