I agree on it was a default, but, as you are well aware, that was a complicated deal, based on one x New Holland deal ( I believe that was paid) and six x individual New Holland dealers, who I believe were the defaulters. If that is the case, then it is only right to praise the one who did pay, but to condemn the six that did not. I had this arguament with Peter Waite in 1999, when he was asking the fans to chip in, there were a lot of donations at the time but one defaulted, and Peter had a go at THE Whole, he was reminded to thank the ones that did, and to be fair he took it on board and did so.

I understand Sacca paid the amount from New Holland, the default was from the 6 New Holland dealers all over Scotland one of which was on The Orkneys. However, willing to stand corrected.

The Supporters Club was reformed in 1999 when PW took over , I was chairman for the first 2 seasons, stood down as it was affecting my business at the time. I proposed Malcolm Leighton to replace me and he was Chairman until 2006, when P.W. created B.E.S.T. because he could not get control of the supporters club money. The current incumbants re-launched the supporters club under it's new guise when they took over. I believe they used the old constitution which I copied from Berwick Rangers Supporters Club, with a new title Berwick Speedway Supporters Club, a short version of it was they would support Speedway in Berwick with monies they had raised in any way 'THEY THOUGHT FIT'. I have believed from the beginning the presents incumbants influenced too much the decisions made by the committee, and the biggest mistake was to accept the 50/50 draw this allowed the club to have an inbalanced affect on the decisions made. The Supporters Club have always done a good job in raising monies to support the club, and when this childish behaviour dies down, it will continue to do so.

If you cannot see the problem, then it is a definate that it will not be put right. I think certain peop;le ought to spend a bit more time talking to the real fans, perhaps come into the Black & Gold after the meeting and take on board what the fans are really saying. At least Dick Barrie has the mettle to call and get the flack. I did not hear one single person saying they enjoyed the meeting and for all the reasons mentioned on here, I went up to the Grove afterwards and it was the same story. For a person who stands up on the 4th bend to not hear the complaints from a very vocal group of people, really must have his head in the sand. -

I would add it's not warm today, so suggest anyone coming down wrap up warm, and have a safe journey down or up or across. -
That sounds like when Adrian shouted at me Vaculic and I thought it was Czech swear word

No ! If I were lucky enough to retire, I would pay for myself to get the practical knowledge, the theory I have. If he was still alive I would have gone over to Czech and paid Antonin Casper to teach me. I would the quite gladly give up my time, free of charge of course. Please note however, I am not financially in that situation. Now would you give that type of commitment. -

Sorry my friend. To maintain my standard of living, I have to work 6 days a week. My evenings are taken up as full time carer for my wife. Saturday night off Sundays I need for sobering up after Saturday night. and catch up on the house keeping I did not do on Satuday night. Thats what happens when you get older, and one of you is less firm. However, if I could afford to retire, (not likely while the Tories are in Government) then I would gladly volunteer. -
Supermarkets do not seek out cheaper suppliers companies like Tesco force the prices down until the company can no longer profitably trade. As an example look what the supermarkets have done to British milk producers

Initially I thought Ian was a good punt, sadly I was proved wrong and his type of track grading became a liability. Heppy is learning and has been listeneing, he now needs to make the next step to improve the track preperation. Before anyone asks or even suggests I gave up my time to help, the answer is a BIG NO. My job as a fan is to turn up on a Saturday through thick and thin. -
Yep, would he come ? and how long to dial into the track, can give you another name on a 5 Zdnek Holub.

The point is it does not have to be gate & go, Heppy did a good job last season in bringing the track back from the mess it had been for several seasons. It was gate & go then because all the shale was around the outside with nothing on the inside, so you had only one line, now all the shale is off you can ride on every line but with no grip at all, so nothing to give you drive if you need it. My hope was after creating a slick track grip would be built back in to the track bit by bit until was right, with the grip in the right places. I am sure Heppy will do is best to change the surface, so that the grip starts on the inside and works outwards, then the tractor drivers get back to basics lead tractor against the fence bringing the shale back down and the second tractor outside him grading the shale. -
Quick decision needed, I suggest Tero Aarnio comes in on 4.7 I think and knows the track, don't see why he could not return between a 5 & 6 average.
