  1. Scott, for my mental state, start a arguament, I am getting bored.
  2. Best speedway therapy I know is the Golden Helmet in Sept/Oct in Czech. If you havn't tried it yet you must, it gets you through the winter. Fantastic company, amazing booze, astounding prices
  3. I never take offence, I enjoy the debate, and the debate with yourself has been good. The more views and opinions the better, this can only be good. It is so important to discuss openly all issues in speedway, some will agree, some will not, but long may it continue.
  4. I am not aware Liam has the begging bowl out, certainly not when I have spoken to him. Speedway has always been about rider sponsorship, without it, you nor I, would be watching speedway at all. As a young rider who is still at school, it will be difficult to finance it without financial help. He may well have it all in hand, but he may not. It is quite true I AM SAYING HE WILL NEED HELP, not LIAM.
  5. Am not disagreeing with you, generally there is too much over tuning, and I agree with you too much power under a youngster who cannot handle it is dangerous. It does not solve the problem in Liams case, he needs reiable equipment to maintain his potential. It would be good if a few fans got together to help him.
  6. That goes down the idea of the club should provide and maintain the bikes, the riders just need to turn up and ride what is provided. A massive reduction in running costs for riders, should balance out the expendeture for the club. That is an idea I have always liked, were you thinking in the same direction. The original point was is Liams equipment good enough for the 2014 campaign, not if he was going to ride on over tuned equipment. My feeling is his old equipment is over the hill.
  7. I have always been a fan of a standard engine, say a GM where you can only use off the shelf GM parts, and tune within that criteria, like club racing in motor sport (Renault Clio Cup, Porche Carrera etc.). However there is a huge difference with equipment that has passed it's shelf life, if it's clapped out it's clapped out. I don't see why Liam cannot compete on a standard engine, but it needs to be reliable, it doesn't mean he has to by an engine off an over priced tuner at extortianate prices. You can sometimes land some good second equipment that has hardly been used, but in general they are selling old equipment because has reached it's shelflife.
  8. Don't think what he has is competetive at PL level, frames probably OK but could do with a new engine and a competetive 2nd engine.
  9. Bet you are in the Tabernacle tomorrow preaching
  10. Just look for the lack of posts while he is in Oz. Or if one pops up now who hasn't been posting
  11. I thought Dick Barrie was much older than Brucie. Barrie (Baari) in Berwick means very good, something went astray there.
  12. Go back to the comment from Fromafar, where he said the club deserved luck, no mention of riders, someone digressed.
  13. like I said, you get it right or you get it wrong, luck to me is nonsense. I am not lucky in making a profit in business and unlucky when I dont, it's 100% down to me.
  14. Don't believe in luck, you either get it right, or, you get it wrong. At least for the 1st time in a while, it looks like a possibility.
  15. I would not say we have a bad team, nor is it a good team on paper, it is an 'IF TEAM', if certain riders perform it could be a team in the top 6, if they dont click could be in the bottom 4. I am pleased that the promotion as at least looked in a different direction as far as team buliding is concerned, I would have prefered them to go down the new asset way, but at least this team has a chance. Dont think Doolan & Wethers will increase their average, but will be able to mix it with the big boys, and Doolan can at least gate, something missing the last few seasons. Jensen is an unknown quantity but should be able to do reasonably well as a reserve, giving a back up to young Liam, who if he can hold his average of 3 or put a slight increase on, will be good for his 1st season. This is where the 'IF'enters the equation, IF Kus manages what he is capable of, IF Vissing stays away from injury, IF Bellego continues to improve, it may be as suggested something like the team of 2005. This I am certain, it should be more exciting, hoping the team can achieve it's potential. Now give me a track prepared consistantly to the same standard as the under 21 FIM meeting,'EVERY WEEK' and Berwick Bandits may be a force to be noticed.
  16. I dont know if there will be team kevlars or not, I was buying kevlars for Liam if he was in Berwick team or not, as his were raggy arsed. I have made sure they would be Black & Gold though.
  17. Liam Carr will have new Kevlars & engine cover, in black & gold, not team however. I can arrange with Adrian Rymel to make a pair for you if you want to sponsor another rider with new kevlars, in matching colours.
  18. Sorry, thought he was Polish, the rest of the tragedy though was like all deaths awful, and to be sharing with him really upset Matej, and has played on his mind during last season.
