I am certain the 'Official Berwick Speedway Supporters Club' wil continue to support the club in every way they can, as they have done for many years. On the subject of the 50/50 draw, this always was the clubs to raise extra monies for the club, it was only when the current promotion took over that they gave the 50/50 draw to the supportrers club, my opinion is, this should never have happened, as it was a way of controlling the supporters club in their decision making. I think the point is, why upset the very people who have worked so hard in supporting the club, not just in raising much needed funds, but organising events like 'The Hall Of Fame', End Of Season Dance, and so much more, they are the same people who organise the away trips, be it a jaunt down the road to Newcastle, or, The Southern Tour. These people nedd a pat on the back, not a slap in the face, I am pretty sure they are adult enough to let it go over their head, and continue as always. Strangely they are the same people who give their time freely to sell the 50/50. toil over the drunlen guests in hospitality, work in the chuck wagon aqnd so much more. No it most certainly does not

Josef Franc must have got him into it

Think you are spot on, by creating an alternative supporters club, you reduce the effectiveness of both, those who want to prop up the club will join the V.I.P. Club, those who want to support the riders will join the independant supporters club or the 2012 club. Remember this happened a few years back when PW created B.E.S.T, it quite rightly fell flat in it's ar*e, and the supportrers club was re-formed, but with too much control from the Club, it appears they have found their own voice, and require mor independant decisions. A good thing this Democracy.

Thats what happened with the supporters club, all decisions were made by the commitee, can't see the logic in replicating something you already have for £10.
-
Supporters clubs should always be independant of the club

In what sense rubbish ? Dave Allen was as bigger Heathen as myself, not welcome in many places in Eire because of his views on religion and more specifically on the Pope -

The full phrase was:- Thank you, Good Night, and may your God, 'GO', with you. I have it on a T shirt. I also have no need for a religion, I find it a weakness to have the need of an imaginary friend. However I do believe in the freedom given in this country to express and believe in what I concider to be strange, so if someone wants to hug a tree, so be it. Islam, is a peaceful religion, however Islamic Fundamentalism is something else as is Christian fundamentalism regularly preached in the U.S., both dangerous and rightly should be codemned. I was recently accused of being 'anti semetic', my reply was I have nothing against the Jewish religion ( I might think it's nonsense but so what) however I have take great exception to the State of Israel who in 1948 stole the country of Palestine from the indiginous population, and to make it worse the British Government erwe complicit in assisting it to happen. On the Aussie/ U.S. debate, they are quite rightly imigrants, you try as U.K. citizen gettinng into Austrailia and U.S. other than as a visitor. Perhaps the U.K should be as strict. On 'The Commonwealth' and also 'The British Empire' , lets cast them into annuls of history, where they quite rightly belong, we really were not very nice to the peoples of many of these countries. So apart from the odd sports event, lets keep it that way. -

Just had an Austrailian customer in shop, who emigrated 30 years ago but has dual nationality passport, She said if she flies into UK on her Austrailian passport she can only stay for 3 weeks, when she returns if she uses he UK passport she can only have visitor status. So she flys on on he UK passport and returns on her Austrailian passport, -

There are some good Aussie riders, but also a lot of dross as well, same applies to EU riders. It's up to the clubs to find the better riders, it's naive of anyone that think all EU riders are second rate. -
70 + Scottish side of the Border then

Thought THE SUPPORTERS CLUB agm was on sat 28th at the B&G. 'Had away', I am like this all the time, remember my old advert. Yes, I am a miserable bas*ard, But I am the best. So you will bl**dy well have to put up with me.

He might not be a recipient of the news letter, if he has not signed up, it was a straight question, so I see no need for someone to be so ignorantly rude.

Common Wealth, what century are you in, all Migrants from what ever back ground are foreigners, and if a visa is required, then they should all be treated in the same way. On your religious intolerance, it would be a safer world if all religions were banned, it's bad enough having an imaginary friend, without thinking one imaginary friend is better than anothers imaginary friend. Mind we have Fantasy Speedway, so I suppose that is a form of religion. -
Is it a Hoover, or is it a vaccum cleaner my friend, poor managers often make this mistake.
-
Playing the system is not fiddling my friend, the system is the set of rules in place, by knowing the rules he could work the system in his favour. He was just a bl**dy shrewd old bas*a*d. A few more like him might put the mojo back into speedway.
-
I was a great fan of Ian, fiddling the rules 'NO' knowing the rule book inside out and interpreting to his advantage 'YES'. Perhaps a few more in speedway management should take a leaf out of his book.

What about when 1 person tells you one side of a story and 20 people tell you another side, and they are all basically the same. Some people would say they colluded with each other other people would say must go with the majority.
-
What if it's 2 right sides or 2 left sides
-
They must have done a good job because our illustrious centre green announcer has told us all for 5 years how good they are, so it must be true. I wonder where the allegience will be in 2015.

Simple!, Promoters tried to cheat the rules, got caught and as a result of their actions, and their actions alone made it much worse for themselves. Don't cheat and you won't have to pay the penalty. -
Other than control, I don't understand why someone would spoil such a good thing.
-
There most certainly is a 'Supporters Club' who have done a stirling job, and is very much worth joining. It's well run in general with some of the most genuine people in speedway, such a pity that someone is trying to steal their glory. For anyone running a club would relish having a supporters club like Berwicks.
