Can't blame him for choosing to ride for Australia when you consider what's just happened to him. Shafted by his British club thanks to British speedway being completely unable to understand a fairly straightforward rule. Just confirms once again that British speedway is clearly run by a set of jokers!! Still everything happens for a reason and any club which ends up with Nick should consider themselves very lucky indeed. I for one with him all the best.

What a joke of a decision to call it off! Yes there had been a heavy shower but it stopped as quickly as it came and it was bright and sunny! Track looked good and was indoubtably raceable maybe a bit greasy for the first few heats but that's all. Every Scunthorpe rider wanted to ride - it was clear the Ipswich riders didn't!! This kind of thing does nothing to help the sport and the ailing crowds - Chris Louis you should be ashamed when you look at some of conditions the Sky meetings you've been at have been run in compared with tonight's track!!!
