"But Ford said that run would come to an end as the 2012 world champion prepared to balance his commitments in the Grand Prix, Poland and Sweden" So there we have it, final confirmation of where UK is in the pecking order of speedway edit just noticed the ad at the top of the screen -
I thought it was 14 home and 14 away, where does it say anything about regional split ?

British Speedway Promoters Meeting
ekimba replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I havent gone through all the posts on here but has anything been said about how the PL intend to add 3 extra home and away meetings , regionalised or drawn from a hat ? -
If we dont have Cookie, why cant we have Theo and Sam Masters ?

Now remind me, where have i seen these riders before, oh of course at Glasgow's feeder club. By the way good to know you are running next year, wouldn't have been the same without you

In the 2012 / 2013 Ice Hockey season Sky produced a 1 hour magazine programme on the EIHL. They would show highlights from previous weeks games only if the home club provided them with the footage and let Sky do the voice over. Would this not be more sensible for speedway clubs. I beleive many, if not most clubs now produce their own DVDs. This should also have the benefit of stimulating the appeal of the sport rather than overkill with a full match which can be hit and miss at times.

Somerset Vs Edinburgh 28.10.13
ekimba replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
My head says you are right but my heart says I hope you are wrong. I hope it is not the rule that if the second leg doesn't take place we are by default winners, I can't think of anything that would make the "sport" of speedway look more ridiculous, Somerset finished top so if anything it should go to them, I personally don't want a tainted title. Here's hoping it does go ahead and the mighty monarchs can pull off a miracle, then it would be deserved. -

So do we call them the Buckfast drinkers -
Ok the big one is here at last, will the Smugvillians do a job on the cider drinkers, I think so over the 2 legs. Teams taken from Edinburgh Official site SCOTWASTE MONARCHS: Craig Cook, Max Fricke, Claus Vissing, Jozsef Tabaka, Theo Pijper, Liam Carr, Derek Sneddon (capt). SOMERSET REBELS: Jason Doyle (capt.), Kyle Newman, Alex Davies, Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris, Charles Wright, Oliver Greenwood. Going for 50-40 home win in this leg

This is fast becoming a joke, it even makes the EL look good Next year either change Play off structure to top 4 or start with league and only have the KO cup

Two words: Ben Barker

I personally dont agree with using a guest from a team in the same play off group, but there are no rules to stop it so we just need to get on with it. I think based on our recent travels that we may struggle to get the required points unless all our riders gel at the same time, if that happens then we could be in with a shout of getting the points we need. (heres hoping)
