I'm laughing at the moment and I really don't know why. Last night I was just trying to help in the best way I could. I'm not professional and don't plan to train to be one. I was not and do not in the future expect a pat on the back for sending in any results. I laid out, not very well I'll agree, the riders and thought the Danish sounding names with the brits mingled would be taken for the Vikings and the other by exclusion ( or is it disclusion now?) would be taken as the Potters, sorry for any confusion. This is a forum right?.

You out of all people need not to apologise to me or anyone on here with the excellent job you do to keep the speedway world info on what is going on. As you can see I need some help if I need to relate in the future.

Sorry about the sloppy way of reporting the results. Just had a smartphone.....nobody told me the operator had to be smart!!!. very impresssed with quite a few riders tonight. Andersen, Sol and good to see Priesty back on the Stoke track. All riders had a go and although the racing got lined out at times I left satisfied with my weeekly Speedway fix. Good luck with the rest of the tour.

Wasn't there on Saturday as I was watching my first love, Rugby At London Irish but from those that i have spoke too seem to have enjoyed it, apart from the cold!!. Jason will be a major force in this league, esp if starting at reserve; and by all accounts most of the other lads aquitted themselves well. The two Stoke lads held their own and I think Ben will be a useful reserve for the Potters. I really am looking forward to seeing these young...ish lads get going this year.

Taking the thread back to the Potters. What impressed me about Ben in the race off's was that it seemed he wasn't quite as quick out of the gate as Mcbain( who must be thinking himself unlucky, stick at it mate you have talent)but in one race he held a very tight line to keep under the other racer and in another he rode the boards very bravely, to me that say's that if the track is giving something then he will take it. Very pleased with ALL the boy's yesterday.

I will leave it to the official site to give you the new number seven but from what I saw he will do well this year. I know practice can be very missleading as the lads are not racing against anyone but a few caught my eye today. Simon Lambert and Tony I've seen loads of times and they showed how I would expect but all the others did very well. As a num 7 James looks lightening and Tim and Jamie really surprised me with the way they handled the bikes. Gareth looked a little slow out of the gate earl on but improve as the time went on. Bring on the season.

Thanks Derek - Hope it's warmer than last year!!!!

Any news on practice days and if public are allowed in.

Quite right. Unbelievable, I expected it would be £15-£16 pounds. That will be great value this year. Some good young riders to watch this year and for £12 pounds. What other sport in the area can you get that for, Stoke, Vale and Crewe football are all way over that price. I suspect that you will not be going this year, unfortuately I also suspect that you will miss out on some excellent entertainment. They way meetings have been run for a while have left a lot to be desired but not to go is not an option and at £12, I would rate as good value.

I think James was messed about last year a little and for a 16/17 year old lad that just wants to ride is not very good at all. Expect the lad to settle with a regular ride at Stoke. Welcome James

I hope Gareth has got his mojo back. Like the averages say, coming into the 09 season I thought he was a little unlucky not to get a slot at reserve for the Potters. 09 was a poor season for him as it turned out because he went backwards and 10 is a right off really. I am sure his signing splits peoples views, but until he gets back on the bike and gives it a go we will never know. May be having a ride for his contracted club could inspire the boy. Not jumping up and down with the news (knees woundn't take it anyway)but not too upset. How much does this leave for the last three riders?
-
I haven't a clue have I!!!!. I had it in my head Sheffield but dissmissed it without checking. This lad will be that good this year that it will be good for every track he visits!!!. Think I've covered every base there. Thanks superstar1 for showing what the good lady wife has know for years. Come on I want more riders to talk about.

Who could forget the Carrs. I'm still on medication from the Gledhill win; If only I had put a fiver on him!!!. I can remember a close match between the Potters and Gunners at our place ( although I think they were all close) when Louis went straight up from the start and landed on his backside!! Great riders and great times. Hope some of that feeling can return to Loomer road. The opening three riders give rise to think so. Simon will be a top rider in this league and can see him doing a "Lee Smart" this year, which will be good for us and Scunthorpe. Tony is Tony and a great influence this year and as I have said Tim has the capibility to be a force. Anyway who do we have for the last four Mr Tattum?. I'm getting a little concernedhttp://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

It would be great to get back into rivalry with the Gunners. My best memorys involve John Jackson, Steve Finch, Bootsy and Billy Burton, Crabby etc. On to the NL situation , I think the best plus for my is the signing of Tim on a full contract. As with any speedway rider a injury free season will I'm sure see the lad mature. Not sure on the quality of his bike(s) but on good machines he could av around the 8 point mark plus. Johnson has been mentioned, what av would he come in on?. looking forward to talks on the new riders when signed and then the season.

On BSPA that we have Tony Atkin back with us again. Always enjoyed Tony and his exp will be great for the youngsters signed....if we sign youngsters. No Buzz now I expect.

I used to look in often on the Potters site and occasionally post but the "6 or 7" you speak about have just turned me off as they spend out loads of garbage that is of no interest at all of support or improving the product and in the early days I commented; nobody wanted to play; prehaps my views are as boring and tedious as theirs. Not been on the site in a couple of months now. Do they want speedway or not; lets get behind whoever pulls on a Potters race jacket and give everybody a chance. The tractor racing and other things did spoil it for me and I did walkout early a few times last year but I'm sure all in power at Stoke realise where they need to improve. LETS GIVE THE POTTERS A CHANCE.
