  1. as i see it.all tracks in the uk (not sure about the nl) have to have an air/poly fence in place for the 2014. season.. .to me , it looks like there will be one big league (EL/PREM) together. the idea of the two leagues having to have the fence thing is because all the gp/elite riders will not race at a track where there is NO air/poly fence in place. maybe the league will be split into two mini leagues when teams have rode a set number of meeting. BUT there will NOT be enough riders of a certain standard to go around.far too many r/r and guests a.t.m.... riders will only be able to ride for one team in the uk.. so looks like the speedway game is on a sticky wicket.
  2. we can fit him in at workington, we could even do a trade for mr nills and mr lawson.lol. one again, it looks like the baby doyle is throwing his 9 stone skeleton about and morris should not start mouthing off. he rode for berwick as a guest against workington and was very poor. maybe he should spend some tine in hotel rooms and have a good think about reasons to slag fellow riders off..
  3. the 42.50 points limit will be reduced and this will force the high averaged riders to move on into the lite league , thus stopping all those double uppers/downers to choose one league. then the prem league can start building with riders of reasonable points averages . more nl riders next year. hopefully the nat league will be filled of young uns and really old uns... thats the way i see it.
  4. wow , is it 2014 already. those sleeping tablets do work well. mixed with beer of course. with mr cook in the team , you will have to run with 6- 5 point riders and as sheffield found out. if your out and out number 1 gets injured. you are toast. not the way forward. unless there are changes in the league/team points limit.
  5. robsons injury put workington a touch ahead in the winners stakes. with robson outit makes them awee bit weaker, but not much. gonna be tight, think the jawdees may come away with something though.
  6. i think its the body of mj the human being that is not up to speedway at this moment in time. . the bike may be fast, but the human brain says , bu66er me this is too fast. got to respect the guy. was great in his day. good luck in his retirement.

  8. pray for dry rain, the stuff that does not get you wet..
  9. not many people remember him as a named person, just a nutter in a suit waving and jumping all over the place. seen him once, but the memory still lives on. a great person a character that will be missed.
  10. going by a few scores on the updates site, he can do the biz. pity about the rye team missing some proper triers. but worky being worky could fall to the rockets.

  15. aye, its a tough old game and its takes the special guys to do it. its not that simple as are some of the fans.
  16. yer = you, as in NOT me. the rest IS plain ENGLISH.. should have stuck in at school instead of playing truant in the bike sheds..
  17. thats not what mr pearson and co are saying. there will be less non-british riders in the pl next season..we need to improve our talent and bring on more riders through the ranks of the pl/nl system. otherwise we aint gonna win any thing at speedway or footie. so where did lewis kerr and the worralls come from, to name but a few.dont think they came out of a Kellogg frostiest packet.
  18. time for all the foreigners to quit the uk and give the british lads a chance. think this will be changed for 2014 season,
