just like to remind all worky followers that newcastle are NOT our main rivals for the final 6th place. p/borro are. they have a home tie against rye and an away fixture at pltmouth , so by getting 4 points at plymouth they push us out of the play offs. gut we still have to gain all home points available. to us. the wording SCRAPPED is not true . all fixtures must be completed by the 31st oct. the club will face a huge fine if they dont fit in the outstanding fixtures... only league points gained by the team BEFORE the cut off date will count towards the top 6 qualifiers.. cheaper to run the meetingd than pay the fine. if they do scrap the fixtures, workington will not run next year. too many blank dates in the middle of the season for teams. speedway is DEAD.imo.

what a huge disappointment for all.,we wont get another point on the road, unless we tonk the panthers. cant see that happening at all.maybe a home win against glasgow, deffo defeat against zummerzet and maybe a 4 points against sheff at home. no chance of any thing against the monarchs, so looks like season over for us. roll ; on rustys doo. if worky run next year. try and get away without double uppers . speedway has gone from a good sport to a mish mosh of silly and stupid rules and do the fans no favours at all.. could be worse though, could be in the elite league and watching real dross being sold as speedway.
