pretty poor comments about our former owner . maybe you should give the promoting lark a go and see how far you get ! i THINK only mason did not get a team place in 2019 and a few teams gained quality riders from Workingtons misfortune . lies , , ask godders about them . he is great at stuff like that ..... paying a visit to your field in 2020 . hope its as good as you say . your user name still suits you . tho i would replace the H with SER . .... a proper user name for someone like yourself LOL .

use it or lose it ! i worked for a large car/van and truck rental company . we had a recovery flatbed truck for the garage workshop . we were told to use it or lose it . we used it as often as we could . then it came to light that we were costing the company money because we were using it too much . so lose it or lose it costs money either way ! i do believe it was sold off .

if i was Stoneman , i would tell them where to stick their team spot for 2020 . very poor way to handle this if that turns out to be the case . another young guy maybe lost to the sport if this happens .

many visiting teams will be aware of the sand castle building comp before the meeting starts and will be well prepared ! Alloy buckets n spades , non of that plastic stuff .what is the chance of Eastbourne V Glasgow meeting in this comp ?

hi . just to add .the garage was self funding and was doing okay . the biggest thing that helped it to be closed was the pits closing down . i think it was number 10 pit and two others that were local , not sure tho . the bulk of the work came from the miners and their cars . they would go to work , first and backshift and leave their cars for any jobs that wanted doing . speedway never closed the garage down no matter what people say .(thj) . the bungalow over the road belonged to me . but if you go back a long time to the thatcher years in power. she was the one that ruined an awful lot of things for us cumbrians . her plan was that she could buy coal cheaper from abroad than mine it in the uk !... no mine = 4 shops, one chippy and a pub (the ship) all suffering the same fate of no customers , no cash .. .
the garage was later sold on to mr Ron Harttey of pelican garage, whitehaven . he rented it out for a number of years ,prob 20 yrs . the land was sold for building houses on . 1 large brown house and a couple of smaller houses where the fuel pumps used to be . my old man sold everything sweet ,fags , heating oil , gas even had an mot station setup in the middle workshop . as for losing my inheritance (as thj put it ) it was not mine to lose . i had my house . all monies went to my parents rom the garage sale as agreed in early years . dont believe everything thj writes about me .
just to add he keeps saying i was crying like a babe when i was refused entry in dp . at no time did i whimper or bubble . my main worry was how to get back home as i came in someones car !but workington speedway were desperate for my money and eventually steve let me in. to witness the glorious 2018 season . one thing i will add is that when talking to thj a few weeks later , he told me he was trying to send me a msg but it forum would not let him . he told me he was not very good on the computer and now he is a full blown tech wizard , hence my suspicion that the writer was in fact steve whitehead . but as all bad lads do , they make the small guy look the bad boy . so time and stuff moves on , but not for some . he sent me a pm saying that if either he or any of his friends ever have anything to do with a speedway venture that he and his mates would not let me in . strange but true .
anyhow singy , that a lowdown on a life of grime and eddies enjoyment for the speedway at workington .

that couple of gallons of beer have gone to your head john . its funny how you know where my inheritance went . !that statement is well in line with the rest of your posts .when you say i could not stand any one else who made it a success , that is LIE . i loved the 2018 season and was happy that laura had had the success she deserved .i take it you were quite happy when certain teams refused to come to workington when both teams had nothing on . my ole man , as you put it , cane out good financially when he offloaded it the Ron Bagley . THERAPY thats something you need if your swilling two gallons a night . 1980 EHH . my you hold grudges for a long time . i can see you at brough park holding the reins , it will only be on Santas Sleigh tho ho ho ho wish i had 60k to blow ..
