glasgow was built with weak reserves from the start of the season , so i dont see that you are really weakened at all . when you do win , you will say it was a complete shock and suddenly come to life with self praise and suddenly have respect for your team .. thats the way i see it .

so we go into this meeting with r/r and a guest . job just got easier for the tigers . hope we have more heat winners than last week .

i think there was a clause in the by out that laura had to run for 3 years , otherwise the tyrant denham took control of the speedway again . but i dont think he would have run it again . no money involved in the sponsorship of workington speedway at all . just equipment supplied and running costs covered . i do believe . but kd still attended the home meetings , fair play to him .

almost accepted 2 free tickets this morning to see the worky v tigers meeting, but thought about it for a millisecond and refused them . better to pay your way and not be part of the closing of the speedway . season ticket holder or not , we all still pay our way .....

its been a while since the free parking was on . quite a while actually . on paper , we had a good team , but then the premiership took most of the riders away from their championship sides when they were needed .this year seems pretty bad for r/r and guests and some fans are voting with their feet .team selection or riding order has been a major issue with the . tm/management not want ing to listen to fans and totally ignore them .mason campton is a prime example of the ignorance of the management at worky . campton has been doing really well of late , but still they insist of putting him at the number 2 position . therefore mason is the first rider to finish hie riders first and then he stands about waiting to see if he is in ht 15 . the guy should be at 3 or 4 to give us a fighting chance . matt has sort of struggled in the number 4 position . he would have been better at 2 .not just my theory , but most fans . we have supported laura for the time she has run the club and no doubt will conyinue to support her . she deserves it . as for the denham era . . a proper tyrant and a not so people person . banned out more fans at the click of his fingers .

moaning worky fans on here , still go and pay the price for the product. its the stay away fans we need to drag back . long breaks in the summer did not help . the fans that go are only making a statement and STILL paying their way .

oh come on , thats taking it a bit too far innit ? weather is supposed to be good . wprkington are borrowing sheffields starting gate as the one at worky does not go up quick enough , there , sorted .

lets hope dan has a day foo on saturday . kids come back from an injury , give him time .

so whats with the clearing up of you being a season ticket holder . what has that got to do with the way you or i support the team . the 4 posters that posted on here ( not including yourself ) have beliefs that things could have gone sweeter this season than they have . many fans who DONT post on this site or the now defunct unofficial site and never even post at all , believe things could have been a lot better . info given out . site updated frequently , you know , the small things that make speedway more enjoyable on a saturday night . i am not going into a war of words with you, as i said , many fans dont come on here , so dont say the %1.00 of us are going to close the club down . were we to blame for all those hundreds of fans leaving over the years ? no . its the sign of the times , things move on , as do fans to another form of entertainment . whatever it is . we havent killed off workington speedway , the governing body has done that . you only need to look at the draconian rules of the sport . why is one of our best riders riding at 2 . mason should be at 3/4 so he is still involved in the run into the finish line . sorry you didnt get a reply within 5 mins , had daddy stuff to do . i wont put a time limit on your reply . just as and when you feel comfortable ..

we will only have a big part to play in the closure of workington speedway ,IF WE DONT SUPPORT THE TEAM , WEEK IN ,WEEK OUT . most , if not all posters on here actually go to the speedway and give it their support by spending their hard earned cash at the speedway . you are not going to blame the 4 posters on here as the reason as to why the club is in difficulty . are you ? yopu have to look further back to the start of the season to find some form of reason as to its running .

maybe so , but i cant see the money pot being opened up for him on his performances for workington . it shows just what he was doing . not even a 10 point score on saturday AGAINST glasgow will get his foot in the door at glasgow . or even a normal score of 2/3 points for workington will go down well for either promotion . a proper double agent `!

i am sorry to say this , but the management team and any other involved in the running of workington speedway have gone into , the cant see me mode . its a shame because laura seemed a genuine person and was always there to answer questions , it really does look like the end of workington speedway . there are no more genuine promoters left to help save a once great club .

i urge ALL glasgow fans not to attend this meaningless meeting and save your money . also whats the point of the away riders turning up , its meaningless . remember that when you get offered overtime . its meaningless, you only pay more tax ..... .

i am liking the glasgow 3 and 4 . those two can do a lot of scoring between them . r/r @ 5 is not so bad . so the over theborder tigers may jus sneak this . keep sarj away from the tapes ,otherwise it will be along night `1

i agree the unofficial comets site has been closed down to stop a huge amount of shot going in sarj,s way and maybe some aimed at the promotion . but i dont see how that is the way forward ,closing the site down and saying its in m mode is not the way to do it sure , some guys are getting flack , deservedly so .in my opinion . james wee post on hid f/b page is a bit iffy . pointing the finger at the workington track and not being able to get to grips with it . BUT the starting procedure is all the same . 4 riders,one set of tapes, one starting guy and a ref with his finger on the button . its the same procedure all over the uk and even abroad . 1 riders line up. 2start marshall happy with how the guys line up 3 walks away . 4green light on . riders under oder . tapes up ... gone 5complete 4 laps , race over . it not hard to follow, in fact its easier than primary school ! i dont think worky supporters have a prob with his riding , its his constant misuse of the starting procedure . the signs are on the wall now and they dont have any good reading on them .i hope i am wrong tho . DONT FORGET ABOUT A WEE MEETING ON SATURDAY WHEN WE TAKE ON THE MILLIONAIRES FROM GLASGOW . ALMOST FORGOT TO ADD . berwick done it right . may have had a couple of weeks off in the summer . but well done to that promotion in keeping the speedway momentum going through the season and no extra long lay offs for the home fans . we havnt been to berwick for a while and used to enjoy the nice rivalry between ourselves . comics/bendits . still the same . always supporting speedway !
