aye , ask dan . he is the one that i gave it to ! i suppose when/if workington speedway closes. it will have been all my fault . but hey , i dont mind being a scapegoat .. as scaramanga says . we support speedway in workington, we go EVERY week and when its rained off. we almost cry lol. its better to have fans turning up week in , week out and not buying food than not turning up at all . i suggest you get loads of kettles and at least you can sell tea/coffe and buy some sarnies . better off selling something than nothing . remember gerald ratner saying. i sell sr4p . if the product is no good , it wont sell . i am genuinely wishing a better outcome from this .

thank you for replying and putting us right . but its only what people expected . not enough juice going through the lines to power all the cafe stuff with regards broadcasting it to the outside world, if i didnt do it someone else would have done it .i am sure my comment on this will have a + to it in the coming weeks/months as more fans try the cafe out .but i didnt give you the reputation of serving rotten food , the cafe earned that themselves ! regarding damaging 1/2 of of your businesses , that is a real accusation to make agains myself . so how much cash did my 1970,s fighting fund box make when it was auctioned or was it just binned? part of my family history and i gave it to you for the benefit of workington speedway .

of course i do L . i support speedway @ workington all the time . but the number of people that were ,how do i say this ? , were almost unhealthy from certain outlets was quite a lot. i hope things have been put right and will support this cafe as much as i can . there is nothing better than a good cuppa , chips n burger to make going to speedway a brilliant night out . on a final note . i had my youngest with me all the way from Hull. he asked for something to eat and drink . being a cold night . we all trundled around to the cafe . but as we all know now . things were not going according to plan . we came away dissapointed, no food and missed 4/5 heats of racing due to something or other . will we be back OF COURSE WE WILL .its a great sport, but we need more water on the track for grip ! always,,always, ALWAYS supporting a great sport @ workington . i go , i moan . but i love it . -
nothing but great memories from this guy , so smooth , so pleasant and a true sportsman . i dont think we will ever see another Mauger . although Lou Sansom was very close to style and being turned out immaculate at all times . RIP Ivan Mauger .

Redcar had a rider in their team who was in the same position as ty . Redcar signed him but were unable to use him due to the same paperwork issue . does that make Redcars team illegal as well . think holder is having the same probs as well . Poole not playing by the rules , surely not ! -

edinburgh get beat by one of the so called poorer teams in the league and then they start looking as how they can justify the loss to their supporters . (oops, seems i have missed the capital E off ) maybe it something to do with the fact that ty rode for workington last season . at the moment its all bullshot from scotland ! (no big S on that one either . i once rode under protest, she made me do it ! -

WRONG BLOBBY . PROCTOR IS ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE UK . get your facts right . and also if proctor is not allowed to ride in the uk . how come workington could/should have had a N.L. guest for someone that is not allowed in a teams 1/7 . riddle me that ! -

i think it was something to do with the wait for tea/coffee and limp chips ! on the other hand it could have been something to do with the guest for ty . i think charles had a higher average than ty. but maybe the extra %age for a home rider had something to do with it , who knows .not a bad meeting , but need more water down on the track as it dried out pretty quick . eric was brilliant, carried on from last time he was down . lower end rider for monarchs needed to come alive . worky were worthy winners and for 2 teams that are not fancied this year , they entertained . cafe was not busy . once bitten , twice shy . ricky outstanding as was rasser .. when worky all click , it will be a good side . 3 week wait now jeez , wonder how many fans speedway will lose in that time . it has to be a summer sport . no need for this long drawn out stuff . car park is a joke now . they have lost a lot of parking area t.b.h. -

so , last weeks team was wrong , yet still advertised as , AT FULL STRENGTH ! promoters wonder why they are not trusted these days when they constantly feed us bill shot all the time . not just workington past n present . but all the promoters in both leagues . we have got 2 great guests in Charlie boy and B.W.D. should be a good meeting and more importantly , it should be on . not going to caff . pipes need to be run a loooong time to clear the dishwater out. 2 weeks standing water will not make good tea etc . speedway really does need to start late April , May to give it a chance of attracting good crowds . still love the sport , but its starting to get a bit nip n tuck ! no comment on the weather at the moment , i will leave that for someone else . -
