Yes you have to be affiliated with club basically they have speedway school for new riders where they train them,fit them as far as i know everything is provided to you bike ,leathers you just have to show up if you are no good after couple trys they will politely tell you this sport is not for you most riders that are later good been around motorcycles long time since very young(mini speedway,motocross etc.) Tomasz Gollob was very good in motocross(he was i think 5th in 1987 in polish championships) before he switched to speedway.

Nice that you enjoyed your match in Gorzow it can get nasty sometimes during derby with fans fighting etc I am from Rzeszow and was at quite a few derby matches with Tarnow back in the old days it was scary at times riot police everywhere and some groups of fans from tarnow being escorted after the match to prevent fighting.

Decision to go or cancel will be made at 5 PM(local) it started raining again.

Ref just said they will wait little bit more and then decide, I think they will cancel it.

I do speak Polish, does not look good raining and they forecast rain for next 2 hours for now they are waiting for the rain to stop.

Team usually parades to thanks fans for support regardless of score it looked to me like Hans was throwing some t-shirts(to me at least)

You should be fine as of now flooded partially are following speedway cities Opole,Rzeszow,Krosno,Wroclaw and Krakow that is what i got from news online(exept for krosno track i dont know the conditions at other tracks some like Rzeszow are next to river that flooded)

Yep there is some massive flooding in south,south east Poland.

There is a new surface on this track so it is still not the best need to settle down,some Gorzow riders complained about that.

David maybe get a cab and write this down on a piece of paper "Na stadion Stali Gorzow prosze" give it to driver and he will know how to get there,tickets may be hard to get local derby but they should be available.Enjoy your stay.
