  1. 6 teams is no league. Missed opportunity to completely start afresh from the bottom up
  2. I would disagree with that.Batchelor is always at his best behind a strong No1 and when hes not sulking. If you want a star attraction to put bums on seats, love or loath him you would be hard pushed to top Nicki P. Still riding in Polish Elitserien whereas batch is in div1 and will never be the same class .(in my opinion)
  3. It's very quiet on here regarding anyone's thoughts on a team .losing Robert was a massive blow, but not really unexpected, then losing Eric with the structure as it is this year is massive. I assume Cookie is pencilled in at No1 but what about the engine room and the rising star? Proctor ,Tj and Lewi @ 2,4 and 6 or 2,3 and 6 but where is out 2nd heat leader and 2nd string coming from? Richie Worrall as a 2nd string?, could MPT be coming back?(wishful thinking ) Any thoughts?
  4. Lewis Bridger only averaged 6.59 from 11 meetings at berwick in 2017 which converted would put him at 4.19 in the prem( assuming 1.6 conversion rate)that would put us way under the limit
  5. With only 3 stand alone clubs left in the NDL now, and with Plymouth actually wanting to move up surely now is the time to help these 3 clubs to step up.Restructure both top leagues, 1home 1 away league plus knock out cup and early season trophy with both premiership and championship clubs running junior leagues after meetings. That way fans of all clubs can see local riders develop as seasons progress
  6. Ridiculous comment.former world no3, current GP rider, former fan favourite and locally based !
  7. Per jonsson, Bo Petersen,Hans Nielsen were all fairly tall
  8. you've got a good solid middle order rider there. Shame hes not back at lynn .Good luck Tofty and thanks .
  9. shame he didnt race in the uk the season he signed for lynn
  10. kings lynn! good track for holder? maybe 10 years ago but recently , I dont think so
  11. likewise Nick Morris shouldn't get a discount as he rides for Australia
  12. he wasnt in the team at the end of last season and isnt being introduced mid season so the quoted rule is irrelevant .
  13. Apart from anyone signing Bartosz Smarzlik, or possibly Emil ,which I cant see happening , I personally dont think there is another rider out there that would stir up as much interest as Nicki P. Fantastic signing for the Tigers , a real statement of intent and full credit to them for getting him to put pen to paper He is most definitely a rider you want riding for you , not against you and will no doubt kick up a storm on more than one occasion next season Something that has been sadly lacking in british speedway. Welcome back Nicki . At last , a villain to boo !
  14. I would like to see a team built around Robert , Erik, Niels and tofty but expect to see one more like Robert, Lewi, TJ and ty
  15. Got to agree , Trees , that was a decent meeting. We even got some overtaking !Good to see some commitment from riders on both sides.
  16. the idiot with flag changes direction and walks directly into craig cooks path.as a result , an angry( and rightly so ) cook barges aforementioned idiot and no doubt swears at him as well. If he head butted the idiot whilst wearing a helmet , the idiot would have been on his @rse
  17. The trouble is , the track is TOO grippy meaning the person that gets out on front on a fast bike cant be caught unless he makes a mistake, as the track has nothing to give.Ride the fastest line , race over. It's only when the track is prepared slicker(very rare) or left alone to settle and develop racing lines that we see better racing and even then its flat out round the boards to get anywhere. Obviously this is only my opinion, but the track is too grippy with relatively long straights and tighter bends compared to other tracks that produce closer racing with the modern engines Apart from Peterborough which now also seems to be a flat out super fast track. The riders always seem to praise the track as its great to ride , apparently, but it's not great as a spectacle any more
  18. I was there last night .Very poor crowd for a local derby which turned out to be boring . if I hadn't met up with the usual friends I would most probably have left at the interval. No atmosphere , crap track, terrible racing. Good to see Ty back on form though.
