  1. Mads has more in him than he showed last season, he had a few nasty knocks as well. I know some will say he pretty much rode to his normal average, but he did have a very good season a couple of years back when I think he averaged pretty close to 8.He might not be a #1 , no disrespect, but in this watered down league this season, is a pretty solid 2nd heat leader.Big shame he is not back at kings lynn this season, big heart, never gives up, excellent team man.
  2. Putting things into perspective,He was also #1 for Birmingham last season and they finished top of the elite league!
  3. Personally I think the club should be applauded for entering a competition in the national league. Not only will it be a confidence boost for their Elite League reserves but will also give extra rides to a few other young brits too.Who knows , one or two may catch the eye on a track that is not seen by many national league riders.2015 draft reserves in the making? Its just a shame more clubs cant/wont give more chances to the youngsters.
  4. Hans Nielsen had some great races with bo Petersen and crumpy at the abbey, loved to boo him. Per Jonsson prob one of my favourite "away team" stars, awesome.
  5. I wouldn't be so sure about that,Richie Worrall beat Chris Holder in 2 different meetings at the NA last season, and he was world champ. at the time so write him off at your peril!
  6. Surprise package of 2013 definitely smoli, no disrespect, but El star throughout the whole season it has to be woffy followed closely by PUK
  7. On decent machinery there is no reason why Ulrich Ostergaard couldn't put a couple of points on his average now he has the eoes as his home track
  8. Didn't buster thank roger warnes for his continuing support, or something like that em?I think he also said he ran some of the team building permutations by both warnes' as there was a quip about nicki(ipresume nicki p!)
  9. In todays speedway star an article states that Robert Lambert declined the draw for reserves in the elite league as he is already in a teams 1 to 5! Fingers crossed
  10. If as reported Simon Stead has re-signed for Sheffield, that would rule him out of swindons plans due to race nights. If he can pick up where he left off last year he would be an awesome second string
  11. hey, give the man a chance, while he may not be a greg hancock or a chris holder, with the right kit and team behind him he CAN be a match winner against every one of the draft riders. When he came to lynn with Birmingham one season in the pl he scored something like 13 from 5 and rode like a man possessed. The draft riders aren't there to be world beaters, they are reserves.I bet I am not the only person glad to see an end to foreign imports brought in on a ridiculous assessed average with a team built above them so they can get 7 rides and clean up. This draft rider system is at least a try to get back to what reserves SHOULD be, Relative novices, and British too.
  12. At least we have our reserves now, lets hope for some more signings soon!
  13. Lambert and Kerr ideally but lambert and rose would be more realistic as I cant see lewis kerr graded as b after last years results in the pl
  14. Or on a Monday after Poland on sunday, works both ways
  15. May be better off with Kenneth bjerre as no 1 , he may not be as good as kk when on top form but but is much more reliable over a season(possibly with play offs an exception before anyone says it)
  16. Gutted for all you panthers fans and I will really miss the trips down the A47 for the local derby.Hope you run this season whatever league that may be as once gone, I fear the local residents will object if /when you return. All the best and fingers crossed
  17. Welcome to the elite league!Looks like Leicester will be the stars local derby now, and on a Saturday too, happy days, good luck and looking forward to my first trip.
  18. 2brits at reserve! How many years have people been calling for a system that gives the young brits a look in?Now it looks like being implemented , the majority of comments are negative!FFsake wind your necks in and lets give this proposal some SUPPORT.Something needed to be done, and a step has been taken in the right direction. Lets give our home grown talent a chance. They will be part of a team with much more experienced riders they can learn from, they will have a couple of reserve rides each meeting PLUS the opportunity to mix it with the big boys, confidence will come with racing against reserves and that will hopefully be carried across to any extra rides they may get. Sure, it may be too much of a step for some but not for others but no one will know until the idea is tried out.Roll on 2014
  19. Couldnt agree more, dan halsey appears to have a nasty habit of turning right on opponents. There are hard riders and there are dirty riders, but that was reckless and dangerous, deliberate and un necessary
  20. That is something a promoter would need to consider prior to building his team, ie how many likely absences and build the team accordingly. How about any team absences, bring in the no 8 and bump everyone up a place in the team, ie 2nd heat leader becomes no1 in his absence or 1st reserve moves up to 2nd string if one is absent. I know there will always be unforseen absences, it is inevitable but if a system like this was used surely promoters would have to seriously consider whether or not to offer a team place to a rider who has a history or likelihood of missing several meetings.
