  1. Should have picked richie worrall for event 2, he has take some seriously big scalps around the NA recent weeks
  2. I seem to remember lasse bjerre rode something like 11 meetings for the stars in the pl, almost becoming an asset, then peterboro came in and signed him as a "protected asset" or some tosh like that, effectively pinching him from under kl's noses so be aware!
  3. Riders have been banned in the past, including a world champion (gary havelock) for. substance use. Comments on social network sites have led to bans / reprimands , so what makes darcy ward so special that he appears to avoid punishment?Hopefully his visa appication will be turned down.Yes, he is a phenomenal talent on a speedway bike and good to watch but do we want to be seen to condone the actions of a young man with dubious morals just because he can race a speedway bike?
  4. True, but every cloud has a silver lining , hey
  5. Didnt buster say that there would be no speedway for a week before the world cup at the last home meeting?
  6. We will see soon enough.I really hope we stay PL this season, if peterboro drop down and ipswich as well we could have some great local derbies with some ATMOSPHERE. If its EL , well i think it will be a shame with the league in such a mess, but will try to keep an open mind, see if i can afford it, and hope i dont get fed up with the repetition and blank weeks
  7. You almost had mer convinced then "easternwolf", right up until you said "the el promoters have learned their lesson",
  8. Certainly sounds that way doesnt it.Isnt it bloody ironic, in the season leicester open(75 ish miles away) and ipswich drop down (not far either) it seems lynn may be moving up and their nearest rivals(peterboro) havent yet declared their intent to race.Brilliant.Not.An 8 team league, woopy doo.Who is gonna put the air fence up every week, how much extras is it going to cost us, does this mean no more TT, why is dooly going(at least we would have 1 reserve/second string), will we get a decent team and not be whipping boys again and can we send shovlar the wrong way when poo come to town!
  9. I wouldnt go as far as that, but the tail may be a bit long, especially away from home!
  10. Too right it does, bunch of back stabbing 2 faced narrow minded t0ssers .They can keep their "elite" league.Tarnished, corrupt bunch....and breath.Be about typical though, if peterboro dont run and ipswich in pl we still wouldnt get a local derby!
  11. Or his aussie cousin who lives in dorset ...... Sul,oh no hang on we had him a couple of years ago.
  12. Surely no worse than the rumour that ipswich have signed danny kings argentinian cousin juan!
  13. Yes, but a bumper speedway crowd is not as big as an average bank holiday stock car crowd, unfortunately
  14. Hope so vog, shame lee smart has finished in the nl , well according to the star he has anyway. If plymouth move up there will be a couple of nl riders available there, and bournemouth , weymouth.
  15. And of course everything that has been written by or qouted by mr bartlett is all absolutely true, and there can be no doubt it is his side that should be treated as a true representation of the facts ?
  16. Doesnt deserve to come back? Crap. anyone not considering signing tom on his average after the way he was riding again at the end of the season would be making a big mistake in my opinion. He has got to be worth at least 8 to 8.5 points a match, plus he is one rider the youngsters can look up to and take the p1ss out of( toms words at the na not mine!)Ok he may not be quite as potent as an out n out no1 (prove me wrong, go on tom)but got to be worth a team place.
  17. personally let him go now whilst we have plenty of time and find another rider that would commit to Lynn week in week out . Personally, i agree with you on that one.Yes it would be great to see him race each week, but it is obvious where he really wants to ride. A certain young mr haines springs to mind who only really wanted to ride for wolves.
  18. I am looking forward to watching him race next season too em, i was just looking at other options, ifs buts and maybes if you like, if another 5 pointer could be found the balance of the team could be altered maybe and not only have an improver for the season but an investment too,the funds from the sale of darcy must look good in the clubs accounts, as would the sale of any other "find" if there was one.
  19. I know what you mean, but they didnt manage it with darcy! At least the club got a tidy sum for his contract after a year in the team
  20. Seeing as things have changed a little this last few days, how about this one: Travis Mcgowan 9.09 linus Eklof 5.30 Emiliano sanchez 6.64 Chris schramm 6.37 Tom topinka 7.64 Adam Roynon 3.95 simon lambert 3.56 ____ 42.45 Before 2.5% reductions OR swap lambo for Darren mallet 3.90 ____ 42.79 Before 2.5% reductions Eklof, Schramm,Tom ,Roynon and Lambert/Mallet all capable of increasing their averages.
  21. Seeing as lasse bjerre will now only be loaned back to kings lynn, would it perhaps be worth considering a new 5 point aussie in his place who would become an asset and use the extra 2 points elsewhere?NO offence intended but it could mean the difference between millsy or schrammy in the team (purely as an example).
  22. Have to say that the promotion have dropped one here. When they said he was signing on for 2011, they should of had his name on a contract and as an asset. I also wish I could say I was surprised about Bjerre heading to Peterborough but I'm not For the good of the team I hope we look elsewhere. I don't see King's Lynn as being a feeder club for anyone, especially not Peterborough Bjerre is a cracking rider but now obviously isn't going to be the future of our club. If he was our asset, I'd happily bring him on then sell him to an EL team as we did with Darcy. That's how PL clubs have to survive, unearth a gem and cash in on him later. There's no guarantee that with Bjerre in the side it will bring success. He's a hell of a talent but did only average 5.80 in his 11 PL meetings. If he was our asset, you'd take the risk for the long term gain. As he's not, thanks very much, now don't let the door hit you on your arse on the way out And herein lies the biggest problem with being in the premier league, a talent is discovered and brought on but as soon as a certain level is reached they are off to the elite league never to be seen again.Ok there are a few exceptions, such as our own tom, but there is so little continuity, any decenty prospects are off,or pinched from under our noses!!Just out of interest, can anyone answer this: Why does a rider have to ride 12 "Official "meetings to become an asset, but another club can just come along and offer a contract to sign?
  23. probably a case of "i want to sign for peterboro and you cant stop me, like it and i will ride this year, if you dont like it i will ride somewhere else"
