  1. I have got to say a big well done to the hammers management for bringing aj back.As was said in an earlier post , I bet a few people who may have stayed away will think "hang on aj will be here this week, not going to miss that", there was a similar situation a couple of years ago when emil signed for Coventry and came to the NA, loads turned out to see him. Obviously one swallow doesn't make a summer, but the feelgood factor of a big star returning like aj reminds me of when we had to go to the "abbey" as a kid because ole olsen was in town with the bees, or penhall with cradley, mike lee with the stars, pc and mort etc etc etc. Big names are draw cards , no doubt about it
  2. Because they, amongst others have improved during last season, and probably will do again next season. If that happens, the draft reserves system will have been a success so far as it is helping to improve british riders by guaranteeing them a reserve slot all season.Hopefully , the season after next some of these riders will move into the teams 1-5 , allowing fresh faces to come in at the bottom end . And so on ....
  3. Welcome back lewis, and welcome Joe, its a pity we couldn't keep lewis rose as well, but sure Joe will be fine. Just had a quick look at some of joe's scores at the tail end of last season home and away for wolves and he looks to have been quite solid , so all in all not a bad signing .
  4. Ah well , at least poole got their own way so all is peace and harmony. All we need now is for janowski to be assessed at 6.99 and they can have the turbo triplets for next season.Happy days
  5. Because the points limit has been raised, and other clubs will take advantage of this by strengthening their own teams, making the stars not so stand out!
  6. Looks like last years team would fit straight in, but how about swap Rory Schlein for mads? I would have thought mads would have more improvement potential after last season
  7. Totally agree, I just couldn't quite figure how to word it , but hopefully it may lead to a stronger league.
  8. On a lighter note , it sounds like puk wants to come back!
  9. Personally I think that is a load of old tosh putting it politely. If it was one of most of the british promoters involved maybe yes but Tony Mole has done more to resurrect Speedway across the country including Birmingham than any other promoter that I can think of. Hang your head in shame sir!
  10. A bit radical, and too late for this season, but why not have a simple questionnaire that each club can ask its supporters to fill in. multiple choice such as ; would you like A) More meetings with possibly less top stars or Less meetings but stronger teams. C) Not bothered Do you think a set race night is a good idea ?YES/NO I know that is only 2 examples but if the same set of questions was asked by all clubs, the results compiled and analysed, then something might get formulated that appealed to more people , would work as a business and may stop the decline of our sport.
  11. If rory hadn't conked out twice we would be on our way to Coventry!
  12. It seems that many people are now of the opinion that the poole track will still not be repaired by Wednesday, not helped by the poor weather in the last few days.Surely now the bspa should have a contingency plan to make sure this meeting will run. I mentioned a few days ago, a little tongue in cheek perhaps that the meeting ought to be held at the east of England showground as a neutral venue, but all joking aside, what is needed is a neutral venue, fairly central, with little or no issues as to when they can run. A lot of people, including me, have questioned the quality of racing at this venue, but the track is relatively new, drained, and without holes , trenches ,berms, whatever.Step forward Mr David Hemsley and Leicester Speedway!
  13. need to look at a neutral venue for the re run at this rate!Eoes anyone?
  14. Kenny Bjerre will more than likely be back in norfolk next year, in my opinion.Maybe DH is going to chat to smoli?
  15. 1.Puk(please) 2.Mikkel Beck 3.Nicklas Porsing 4.Robert Lambert 5.Kenny 6.lewis k 7.Lewis R I think that would fit under current points limits.
  16. Out of spite! By doing this he has made sure Mads cant extend his british season as a guest for anyone in the playoffs.Petty to say the least.
  17. Course they can, wolves sacked pawlicki the younger after the deadline.
  18. No thanks, the last meeting was spoilt by 2 people continuously blowing whistles with every breath.Air horns, great, whistles are a nightmare
  19. It would be even better if the PL were to adopt the fast track system as well to form a more natural progression from national league, through the premier league and then onto elite. Riders such as kerr, garrity, blackbird, newman as no7, wiith the likes of auty , roynon as no6
  20. full credit to the bees tonight for showing up what has turned into a very ordinary looking stars side. Whatever has gone wrong?(apart from losing our no1 and 1/2 0f team lewis). On this form we don't even deserve to be in the play offs, let alone be in with a shout.
  21. Hope we see a reshuffle of the stars with neils injured(get well soon puk, hope to see you in stars colours next season!), Kenny at no1 and possibly rooboy at5?
