  1. Good to see Morten Risager practicing at Foxhall on Thursday. He was at Lakeside helping Freya and Chris Louis with sales of the #RICO t-shirts and said that he hopes to be riding in a few weeks. He has only just been given clearance by the doctor to get back on a bike. Not sure how many competitive racing opportunities he will get (Danish League?), but I guess he will be doing laps at Foxhall after matches and probably at Mildenhall too.
  2. The simple answer was to ask, so I did, and the reply is that he will wear his own suit .

  6. What do you expect him to say - he's trying to sell a newspaper!
  7. I think you've missed the point that Chris Louis needed some dosh for the club. British speedway is almost totally reliant upon cash flow, and there hasn't been any since Good Friday ...
  8. See my update above, with the quote from Chris Louis. It certainly puts into context any thoughts of a return to the not-even-close-to-Elite League.
  9. If it's needed to balance the books, then it's very interesting. Shame that ITFC haven't got anyone worth anything to help with their debts Indeed - updated with text from http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/news-centre/433-danny-king-becomes-a-brummie Ipswich Director of Speedway Chris Louis is disappointed to sell one of his assets but explains, "It was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make so far in my short period in charge of the club. The decision to sell Danny to Birmingham may come as a shock to some as I continue with my aim to re-build the club. Unfortunately bringing the brightest new talent to Ipswich comes at a cost but it is vital that we continue to do so. We also received a 10% rent increase for Foxhall just 24 hours before the first meeting of the season which obviously came as a massive blow and hit the season's budget very hard. I have involved Danny all the way through the process and would like to thank him for his cooperation, I have to stress that Danny was happy to remain a Witch but when the offer came he agreed that he was enjoying his time at Birmingham and if it was best for the club then he was happy to join them full time. Danny's transfer gives us continued security at a difficult time for all clubs and I would like to wish Danny every success with his new club. He has always been a real pleasure to deal with and he knows he will always be welcome at Foxhall".
  10. I think they want you to get the paper, to find out .
  11. I'm sure Chris Louis can give them some advice about moving the drains. Taking the white line in on the straights as well as the bends has been an excellent decision at Ipswich - that alongside the move up to the PL.
  12. That was worked out by the fans ages ago - indeed, almost before a race had even been staged. Even on photos it looked too narrow.
  13. Speedway Star for w/e 21 April has a two page interview with Leigh Lanham, and features the Sackers Witches on the back cover. It's nomally available at Martlesham Tesco, and WH Smith in town used to have stock (but I avoid going into town). Cockram's newsagent on Foxhall roundabout used to hold stock too.
