  1. Lets hope Titan the Robot has a new repertoire for this year
  2. Try and give someone assistance (who asked!!) and thats what you get on here  Just treat yourself to a programme and make a day of it!! Won't be needing your programme for this one MP
  3. I have booked my tickets online and also over the phone for different years since the Gp started in cardiff......they have never arrived in the post and I have collected at rugby club at corner across from Angel Hotel each time, with proof of confirmation number, name and address etc. Dont think they ever have intentions of mailing them to me......happened with TT tickets too in June, but I managed to get a refund of THAT postage when I complained
  4. When you say Millennium Stadium parking do you mean actually in under the stadium or at the rugby club grounds on corner near Angel Hotel?? The car park (at corner across from Angel hotel, where you also pick up ordered tickets if not received in post) costs about £5 (or maybe free if you have a pass and its this car park) but I would imagine there would be fair delays there turning left and then right out of there to go around Castle as that road is probably closed for certain length of time before and after meeting. Also their other exit by Main Entrance I would imagine is the same scenario, as its on the same road.
  5. presume you mean instead of"portrait" down a narrow A4 you mean the A4 sheet turned the other way (landscape)?? If yes, here goes:- when you have sky sports prog on screen go up to top left and click FILE,then click PAGE SET UP, change PORTRAIT to LANDSCAPE and OK, then back up to left and click FILE again and PRINT. Obv if printed before friday you will have to fill riders in yourself Good Luck with that.
  6. Don't envy you with the weather forecast for this weekend....unfortunate mind you we camped at the Isle of Man TT this year and it actually added to the experience, (singing in the tents etc as couldnt sit outside )
  7. Exactly Ive always thought that.....get "Monster" girls asking people off the street to come take a look and surely if only a few decide to buy tickets and go on the Gp night, it will be adding to the crowd levels. Nothing ventured..nothing gained!! I know if I went for a peep and got the roar and smell I'd be around to the ticket office like a shot.!! (but then I'm biased!!)
  8. Whimsy!!!! The GP prog was £10 last year (inc FREE 'Live' Commentary radio) which no doubt may be upto £12 this year Nothing coming down only the rain!! I think its only certain areas (for shots on tv) that get the flags so i'd bring your own to be sure. Rest assured though you ARE in for a treat!!! roll on saturday.Enjoy
  9. The Collectors fayre usually in Rugby clubhouse, which is to the right of the Millennium Stadium main entrance.........usually £2 entry for adults and kids free! If you cross the road after that and walk between the pub and the multi storey car park that will bring you the "The Fanzone area".....closed off street with vintage bikes, speedway celebs and no doubt plenty of busty girls!!! (Monster etc),autograph sessions and interviews. Dont know if the robot is going to be there but he was enjoyed by all the kids couple years back. It all makes a great day.
  10. This problem doesnt arise for me either as I'm coming from the Fishguard ferry but it will affect some poor folk especially from South/London area which more than likely travel the M4 and cross the bridges. Think this may have been averted now though haven't looked on the internet for updates lately.
  11. I would imagine so but if theres not going to be one it will be the 1st year its missing......
  12. I did post in an different thread that there were numerous competitons around Wales..including join the caerphilly library and be in chance of winning GP tickets (as that was a promo to get extra readers to join and also for the GP to "maybe" get extra folk in to watch,) also the Cardiff Devils (ice hockey) had a competition too so hopefully some of 'their' followers could attend the GP too......at least they wouldnt have far to travel and they are also going to have a stand at the Fanzone. Surely it can only forge good relations between "local" sporting interests and if a few more buy tickets all the better. Dunno should I have mentioned all these comps MP as now you'll be googling Speedway GP 2013 and trying to win next years tickets before me!!!
  13. keep trying  Caerphilly library had Gp ticket competition, great to see that the organisers are doing their bit to get Welsh folk to the GP
  14. Keith Heuwen just 'tweeted' this on Twitter, maybe keep an eye on this if you're planning a road trip to Cardiff... http://www.itv.com/n...rn-bridges-row/
  15. Disappointed to read that......I take note of your bathroom comment with which I agree but i think the hotel is better than the more 'basic' accommodations available for the £40 pppn for a hotel with a leisure centre too. I'm booked in there agin this year so hope their standards haven't slipped too far!!! or they will hear about it.
  16. Yes I know what you're saying but as not everyone lives within easy driving distance from Cardiff (like you said), I'm coming from Ireland and imagine if you'd come down from Yorkshire or even Scotland, thats a fair old drive after walking the legs off yourself all day in Cardiff so some of us prefer a short drive to bed on the night and home the day after. Also used to stay in the area so we could attend the Welsh open at Newport....alas not to be this year  #RICO #makeCardiffwhiteforRICO
  17. Yes I won 2 tickets to the first years GP tickets on Sky Sports...so I took 2 more people as I had already purchased mine. I noticed a few Welsh newspapers have free tickets to win, but wonder do you need a welsh address?
  18. Newport is very handy for the Gp whether driving yourself into Cardiff or going by train.....only half an hour by car and cheaper beds too
  19. Just a brief reminder that there is an upcoming Exhibition in Bradford. Celebrating Bradfords History with the sport of Speedway from the 40's through to the 90's....Opening Day Saturday 25 August..... opening day does clash with the Cardiff GP but it is also the 20th Anniversary of Gary Havelock becoming World Champion in Wroclaw in 1992 whilst being a Bradford rider..........many items of memorabilia on show and ENTRY IS FREE....it will be there till november so plenty of opportunities to get to visit.( Museum open daily except mondays with 1 exception Bank Holiday Mon 27 Aug. Come relive your visits to Odsal Stadium on what was the 'best track in the world' as stated by many riders past and present. Memorabilia...to include items of Arthur Forrest, Mick Fairbairn, Wiggy, Carter and Havvy to name but a few whose families and fans have donated including past team manager Allan Ham. Exhibition is on at Bradford Industrial Museum, Moorside Road, Eccleshill, Bradford West Yorks BD2 3HP which can be got to easily from the motorway network M62 to Bradford and the M606.
  20. If anyone wants to stay on the night before the Gp for an early start to Gp day and then motor back home after the GP Hilton Newport have room available 2 double beds (4 Adults) for £159 inc breakfast thats for the 4 people!! Its on J24 of M4 which takes about half hour to J32 which takes you down A470 into Cardiff city centre. Stayed there every year since the Gp started in Cardiff and its very convenient
  21. The train station is just literally across the road from stadium.prob 5-7 mins walk...however if you havent bought your Gp tickets yet, I would maybe purchase them in the part of the stadium where you could enter/exit through gates 6 or 7 ( seats in back straight or 3 & 4 bends) as this would be nearest to train station end of walkway outside stadium for when you come out near time of your train departure. Good Luck ......only 12 more sleeps
  22. Odsal for me....no matter where you stood you could see EVERYTHING! as you had great view of the track and therefore the racing and really felt involved...then again I was stood directly behind the fence as the riders passed and even though strengthened with metal posts it still "rocked"!! I cannot visualise standing behind wire fence or outside a greyhound track to watch the action must have felt "well removed" from the action. H&S sure killed the fun. Also Hyde Road but think thats cause it involved 'day out' at the zoo etc beforehand ah yes my youth!!!!
  23. Nothing changes in Terenzano then pure dustbowl and no passing to be expected
  24. I could be mistaken but.....is GP practise that late??? 6pm. Always thought it was about 3 or 4pm
